spare plug under handbrake???

not sure if this applies to all classics or not, but i have a MY00 2.0 NA classic.
sort of hard to explain, but bascailly while going to fit a short shifter i noticed that when i unplugged the controls for the electric wing mirrors there was a spare plug attached to it. anyone know what it is for?
i'll try to get a picture up as soon as i can if nobody knows what im on about.

lol nice to see other people at work who sit on here too! lol.
ye im doubting the electric folding switch idea, as my cousins blown several fuses testing that idea with some folding mirrors.
any other idea's? anyone got a wiring diagram for where these go to?
