one side isnt working(passenger side). checked the fuses and they`re ok. swapped the bulbs over and they`re ok as well. is the the ballast units or something else? the relays in the engine bay where swapped as well and nowt happened.
the high beam(the one you flash with!) isnt working either....
any ideas?

Had a similar problem with the HID kit I bought when I first fitted it, every now and then the beam on one side would just cut out for no obvious reason, but like you I was sure bulbs and fuse were OK. After a lot of faffing about testing and re-testing every possible bit of the wiring with my multimeter, it turned out that the male pins inside one part of the 12v (input) connector on the ballast were a bit too narrow for the female connectors they went into on the other part, so one or both of the pins wasn't always making proper contact. To fix it, I just used a fine carbon steel screwdriver to compress the female connector slightly, and after that it was OK.
On a lot of the aftermarket HID kits the connector I'm talking about will be the big pink-coloured 2-pin connector on the ballast, but I can try and get pics later to show you exactly what I mean.

Check the connector for the relay on the harness too.
If it's rusted or waterlogged the lights may fail. My lights kept cutting out because the harness had come loose where the relay fits in and water rusted the relay. I replaced the relay with one from Maplin, ziptied that part of the harness to a drier area and as suggested by another SN member, used Aroldite to seal the relay to the harness, then covered that with a layer of insulation tape.
Fingers crossed, has been fine for over a year now.
