Has anyone fitted an intercooler spray system from an STI onto a WRX?
I have the bottle, switch and tray with the nozzles.
How does the system work on an STI, is it manual I.E you press the button when you think you need to cool down the intercooler (which I think is the case with UK cars) or is it automatic, I.E it senses the temperature and sprays (again I think this happens on JDM STI)
Has anyone made an automatic circuit using a thermostat and timer to control the spray?
I see you can buy a thermostat device from Maplins, then attach a thermistor to the intercooler, when set temperature is reached, the spray will come on for a set time automatically.
Any help greatly appreciated

I put one on my old 03 WRX wagon. The button fires up a relay that powers the water pump - its as simple and useless as that.
Just as much chance as putting on your foglights than hitting the button unless you take your eyes off the road.
Don't bother with it TBH.

Sorry no pictures but it's mounted in RH corner of boot on a UK car and on passenger side bulkhead on a JDM. Spec Cs have it mounted on back of rear seats in boot.
The UK STi has a specially shaped carpet to hide the bottle away, so it means either cutting the WRX carpet or finding an STi version.
