Weird idle issue after battery change?!?
Hi all
My "old" 3 year Varta battery let me down on Friday and was dead. I bought a certain Calcium battery and fitted it today. Anyway, since fitment I am getting the idle revs dipping below the normal idle point and then raising back up but on some occasions it will dip and stall. Seems weird how this has only come to light since i changed the bl00dy battery! LOL
So, silly question time, how would disconnecting the battery appear to cause this? I know it can reset the ECU but surely that should not make any difference to the idle revs?

this might be help full...
when i picked my car up for the first time, my mate told me to grab a new battery as he left the lights on, and it was due a change.
i swapped batterys, and when started it didnt hold the revs right, it felt almost like it was going to stall, then after a few days it appeared to disappear.
i know this hasnt answered your question, but your not alone!

Thanks for the reply and you know what, that appears to be the case! LOL
Already today (Monday) it looks like that may well be happening. Why? or How?
Weird but as it now seems ok, who cares.
