Default LED Festoon Bulbs

have any of you changed the inside light to one of these, and if so have you change the colour as it seems you can choose from a few different colours

I changed the interior for mine to try and make it a bit brighter (must be going blind in my old age) I got the one that is a festoon fitting but a small board of about 9 LED's. Interior is much brighter now, I stuck with white though!

I've had a blue one in my blobeye for a while now. Anything was brighter than the glow worm that i removed from the light unit.
My new car arrives tomorrow and i've got another blue unit ready to go in.

Where did you glue the led light panel to ? Looks good and can't complain at price but just not so sure about just having the led panel just glued to the roof lining ?!

You take the cover off your interior light,Take the original bulb out,Put the new adaptor bulb in place and the panel is self adhesive and sticks to the light body,I didnt pull all the adhesive backing off so i could then take it out easy if required.

Okay cheers is it a newage scooby you are referring to ? And is the one in the above link suitable for a newage ? Like others kinda like the idea of a blue interior light :-)

Dont know if it is suitable for newage though,You would have to measure the standard bulb, I know they do a bigger adaptor if required.

Okay cheers this is the one I have just ordered, looked at the small glass bulb in the blobeye today and its a fairly short length one thats in there, the adapter supplied looks as if its variable in length via a spring so should be okay.

Yeh all three of my interior lights have been replaced by previous owner for LEDs.. they are FOOKING bright!! Top of my head's tanned... Keeping finding LEDs randomly as time goes on.. Just realised reverse light bulbs are LEDs after a mechanic reversed it off a rolling roads a few weeks ago lol

Okay guys my little blue smd light pad arrived today and before I fit it within the rear interior light just wonder where you guys fitted it onto ?? ie. did you remove the pastic lens off the housing and fit it underneath or just stuck it onto the surface off the plastic lens ?? guessing underneath as I cant see where you could take the two little power wires thru onto the bulb adapter if fitted on top ??

mine is similar to the one in the above link, 48 smd lights in total .

There's a sticky pad on the back of mine. Once it's wired in and working it sticks up into the housing attaching either end of the unit. Then it's not sitting in the bottom of the light unit where it can be seen...

Yep with you now mate thats great thanks for that, did you change the front interior bulbs to match ?? looking for some multi smd type, the ones in there are 31mm in length and from what I can see from within the housing there should be enough room for it to accept some off the wider style multi led type. you changed yours ??

Okay will do dave was thinking this morning that some smaller board version off the ones we have already would do the trick, I see from ebay they do 24 or 36 smd bulb ones as opposed to the 48 smd ones we have, these would probably fit within this area, not sure if it would be overkill to fit one both sides off the front light lens ??!!

tested the 48 smd ones already fitted last night once it got dark and all I can say is I cant belive the light that comes from it !! the whole off the front area off the interior off the car was lit up a nice shade off blue - well impressed !!

What about these : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...X:eRTM:GB:1123

look as if they could give off a nice bit off light ?? was forgetting that the front interior lights dont actually light up when the door are opened / car unlocked ie only for map reading !!

Not sure mate is it the same fitting as the blobeye ?? best bet would be just to pop the lens cover off and see if there is enough room for the two bulbs ??
