Default non working drivers window switch

hi guys,
time for me to ask for a bit of help, towards my99 turbo 2000.
when i got the car it was pointed out, that the windows dont work from the drivers side control panel.
the other 3 work from their own switches, i checked the connections. and they were fine.
i got a used set of switches from se imprezas, but still no luck.
the car has a clifford concept 650 mk 2 alarm, which has full closure.
tried to arm the car with windows down, but that dont work either!!
so im guessing there is something not connected, or a problem with the tap in for the alarm.
so b4 i go to a clifford installer, is there anyone that can suggest something to cure the problem?????
im not bothered about full closure, i just want my drivers window to work!!
look like a bit of a k#*b when people wanna chat to me, and i have to open my door!!

chiroman,
yes the window lock switch works, cuts power to other 3 windows.

10 bats if the lock works, there should be power going into it?

Strip door panel, check switch is working with test light, if it is then test wiring at motor, can only be switch, motor or wiring between switch and motor, if other windows are working on the switch pack then the feed must be ok.

@ 10 bats, was gonna do that when i get time. Was after some alarm info as i dont know anything about them. None of the switches work from the drivers door, only the cut out/ lock switch does.
Been told there is a window closure module in the drivers door, or behind the kick panel.
Maybe this has come unplugged, or maybe a wire has come off. So thats my first port of call, thanks for your help though mate. Will repost how i get on.

If window closure was at fault then None of windows would work, if None of switches work on drivers door then I would check main feed at switch, inhibit for other windows does not need a live feed, if the live feed is not at switch and fuse is ok I would check the loom going into the door, inside the rubber for broken wires..

Have you checked the fuses or the wires in the door that connect to the main bit of the car. Could explain why the driver's side window switches don't work.

Looks like you got it working lol. Didn't see your last post lol.

@ nossy 89,

yes mate they have started to work, i was told when i got the car that they didnt work from the drivers side.
got a used window cluster, no luck with that either! ( but the other 3 worked form their own switch ).
i changed the rear demist fuse while @fb tuning, came home armed the car and the divers window went down. and the alarm sounded!!
was a bit shocked when the window went down, so opened the car checked all windows. and was happy they were finally working from the drivers cluster!!!
armed the car and drivers side went down again, so removed the demist fuse.
and it was as it has been for the 3 weeks ive had it.
so today i took off the door card, and couldnt find a window closure module in the door, so i just put the wires back as they should be in the loom.
so far so good, no drivers window going down when armed.
and all windows work from drivers side.
other 3 work with window closure / arming.
i just want my window to work, not bothered about closure!!

ive just written all this just incase anybody else has the same problem!!!
hope it might help some body one day.

Yeah mate don't know what it was but your last post didn't come up. But as soon as I posted it came up. The only thing I can think of is that I did open it in a new tab, probably before you posted it and then it refreshed after I posted lol.
