silly bodyshop put my PIAA driving light back on wonky!
took car to bodyshop to have bumper resprayed, they did that however i've noticed my drivers side PIAA driving light looks kind of wonky! looking at the mount round back and the whole thing seems to be shifted to one side.
i can't see any screws to the side to loosen the left/right play to adjust and it feels pretty solid so brute force doesn't seem to be working either. on the other side, the "mount" seems to be centered, centrally.
here's a pic of what i'm talking about:

is it accessible without taking the bumper off?
with what little space there is, i tried "feeling" into the gap behind the mount and could feel a bolt of some sort but saw no obvious way of loosening the nut!

Yes.
But I'd ALSO be inclined to remove the mounting plate, which looks rusted to hell and back, replace all fixings with stainless, INLUDING that going through the lamp mounting, and renovate the mounting plate with a couple of coats of Hammerite after taking the worst of the rust off with a wire brush.

if I took off the mounting plate from the front, I could then also adjust the left/right fixing too right?
when the garage replaced the PIAA light they said one of the brackets was rusted through and I asked them to knock up a bracket as they didn't have one handy, is it worth ordering a set of new brackets and fixings and replacing them entirely? I don't suppose you have the part numbers for the brackets and fixings?
what tool do I use to undo those bolts, clearly a spanner doesn't have the clearance!

No wing removal needed, just peel back the liner. You can use a spanner, narrow one is best, although you can force a regular one on. I use a stubby for it. You will still need to get that nut off from behnd, to remove the bracket, and adjust sideways movement.
Also agree with giving them a refurb. That one looks like something from the Titanic.
Not sure where to get brackets from. They are very basic, look like this, but without the lines cut out of the middle:

There are some templates on here, to knock them up.

Brackets, I'd do up myself, or have them made to my spec in alloy plate.
Bolts, what are they? A standard bolt? A coach bolt?
Either way, ebay is your friend, or www.yell.com and enter "bolt and nut stockist".
Screwfix also do quite a few stainless bolts.

Depends where you live? They are only flat plates, tbh, so wouldn't take an age to saw up from some 8mm ally plate.
Any engineering places near you? Again try www.yell.com.
Look for someone working out of an industrial unit.

do you have a link to these templates, did a google for "piaa bracket template" and "subaru driving light template" but both don't give me anything useful.
i got a few hits on SN posts mentioning a bracket, but nothing linked.

save the weekends, i don't really have much time to work on the car and as i don't have a garage, working on the car isn't that much fun in the rain.
i wanted to get the bits pre-made (i've found someone who can) take the old brackets off then replace them right away. when i tried removing the bolts last time, they didn't budge and in the end i gave up.

That's the problem with older cars, the bolts anywhere on the outside rust solid.
You MAY find that if/when you get them off, the support plates behind the bumper are knackered. I've just sold a brand-new pair for a few £££.
Those ARE available from dealers, about £15 each, they are handed. That's the bit that goes on the REAR of the bumper cutout, and your bracket screws into it.
Mine were very quickly replaced with stainles bolts even back when I had foglights. As have been most of the non-high tensile bolts on the car now. For an outlay of a few £££ and some time, well worth it when replacement of parts needs their removal

ooh! i've found my old super rusted plate so i have something to work from. a few questions:
1) the red circle, thats where the semi circlular "left/right" mount goes right?
2) this is a side pic of the bracket, what do these hook like things in the green highlighted area do?
