Engine Management Light
Hi All
Apologies to start with, im sure this has been asked and dealt with.
I hae a JDM import 2002 bugeye.. When i switch the ignition on the fan starts up then stops and then starts then stops (You get the idea). I get random noises as if the fuel pump is starting and stopping...
Once started and driving the engine management light flashes constantly.. i have done a little research and found this could be because of a PDI plug being together behind the dash of a UK model. Mine is JDM spec. Any ideas where i can find this plug as im struggling to locate it where it should be.. If not, does anyone have any answers to how i can stop this.. by cutting a wire...?

stick your head up behind the dash drivers side its 2 2pin green plugs. looks like this

stick your head up behind the dash drivers side its 2 2pin green plugs. looks like this

i would imagine its in the same place on the jdm spec aswel :S i would have thought it would have some effect because its a form of diag mode for the ecu so it wouldnt suprise me if its put the car in limp mode

Hi, thanks for the reply.. ive found the plug and yes it was together. now i have seperated them. The car has imprved its performance massively. Couple of other things is when i put my foot down it limps from 5-6000 rpm.. kinda goes flat ten bursts to life again.. any other things to look at? I noticed as well the fans have stopped when the ignition lights are on, but i can hear a relay clickin every 30seconds instead... Sorry to be a pain.
