Default Door Courtesy Light Power?

Hi all,

looking to fit some courtesy door lights to my 03 blob WRX. Anyone know a way of powering them so they are only on when the door is opened as I dont want to route wire all the way from the roof courtesy light to the doors.

many thanks in advance

The one on the roof works by depressing the black door pins, You should be able to get power from them to run the lights on the doors... i think?

Thanks :-)

was hoping there was something in door or near , rather than looming from the switch round to the door, but it may be the easiest thing to be honest

traced the cables back from the door pin, to an easy place next to the seat. checked 12v an earth on both wired it in and it works the wrong way around? when the door pin is depressed it comes on and when the door switch is up it goes off, totally opposite to the courtesy light
