OK, I've had a few people ask to see pics of my new 'standard' silver STi. The quality of the pics is pretty awful and it was wet and getting dark when I took them!

But here goes anyway
I am going to try and go to tomorrow's Bracknell meet so might try and take some better quality pics there.

Wheels are standard, just had them powdercoated in an anthracite colour

Like it - like the color scheme (wheels to body)

What plans have you got for it mod-wise ? What about 18" P1 wheels and Eibachs, oh and ProDrive spoiler ?

bah, makes me cringe every time I see an STi7, shoulda waited 3 months and brought one instead of a WRX, the money I've spent modding mine would easily have got the STi/PPP/wheels etc

Cheers DazV

Went for the silver with anthracite as the wife hates gold wheels! She also said no to an 'ironing board spoiler' If she didn't use the car as well I'd have probably gone for a WR blue Prodrive version!
As for mods, I'll see how it goes, at the moment it feels pretty good straight out of the box

Big Goon
Know what you mean, traded a WRX with PPP aginst the STI and before it went I had a look through the paperwork at what I'd spent (always fatal!!) and it wasn't a million miles away from the cost of the STi
I'd have been really p***ed off if I'd brought a UK300 PPP for £26495 though!

Where did you get the wheels done - I am thinking of doing the same.

Cheers

Cool

Ro

Bell & Colvill (West Horsley) got them done for me before I took delivery. I was slightly worried about having the wheels redone but the quality of finish is excellent

I'll be at the Bracknell meet tonight if you want a close up look.

Damn fine to see a change from WR Blue!!!

Although I still prefer the blue/black, that's excellent!

Silver is definately the best colour for the new STi's

Excellent bodywork / wheel colour combination!

I'm slightly biased though - i have an MY00 in silver with anthracite wheels

yep, my favourite colours for the STi are:

1) BLACK
2) SILVER

List of mods that would be top of my list:
1) Anthracite 18" OZs
2) Prodrive Spoiler
3) Eibach suspension
4) Morette color coded headlamp cluster
5) PPP

You're right mate, great combination
Actually, a mate of mine has got an STi V with anthracite Speedline GT-1's and that looks great.

DazV

Agree black looks great, a bit of a nightmare to keep clean though! Good list of mods there, although you can't get anthracite OZ's for the STit. Only 'rally gold' and 'crystal titanium' available at the moment.

Superb looking car Andy - good to meet you and see it at Bracknell last night.

I agree with a lot of the previous comments - it looks excellent with that body/wheel colour combo IMHO. Just think how many of these cars are going to be WRC blue with gold wheels, you'll be a bit more exclusive.

Get the pics up asap - especially the 'old & new' shots.

Cheers,
Steve (100% jealous)

Cheers Steve, good to meet you too

Thanks for the comments about the car, I love the WR Blue/gold combination but have to say it's nice to be a bit different

Look out for the 'old and new' pics on another thread

Nice car - exactly what I am planning to order, even down to the coating of the wheels. Was worried about the gold calipers, but they look OK.

Itake it you are in Richmond, Surrey (not Yorkshire). If so I will keep an eye out as I am only up the road from you.

Cheers

Beauty mate.
Gagging for Eibachs though.
I've got a set on mine (MY00) and it does toughen the stance somewhat.
