Default One Scooby simply isn't enough......

Always handy to have another one in the family as it were; brother has a lovely UK300 (ex-scoobynet member car previously), and I recently bought a GB270 boot and rear spoiler to fit to my WRX blob. To tie in with a trip to see him this weekend, I got it delivered to his place for convenience. The last thing I expected him to do was 'kidnap it'..........


I have to say I do like the look of these (notwithstanding their real reason for being there. Drinks Cabinet

I am a fan of f1 and have always wondered how affective the rear spoiler is. . And what is the a difference if any between the sti and let's say the gb270 in terms of down force. Never the less, looks good.

Have to confess that, once I get to the speed it would be effective at, I'll probably have passed out.
Prefer it to my original fitting (apart from extenders, which were fitted at new by Tileys Subaru of Bristol in 03)

Used to have a GB270 and the spoiler was certainly eye catching, on the very rare occasions that I did stretch its legs the car felt totally planted. That said, quite how effective the spoilers really are I'm not sure, perhaps someone can put some figures together.

The top 'deck' of the spoiler was a proper aerofoil too, so it must have done something...

I'd certainly love to know what a Plymouth Superbird/Dodge Daytona spoiler did around the INDY 500 tracks!

All they actually do is slow the car down until about 120mph (drag) then after that they offer improved high speed cornering stability.

I wondered how much of it was just a bit of man jewellery...

Only once did the car see that sort of speed on a closed runway so not much cornering was happening
