this is the PICTURE GALLERY, so are you wanting photos of the problems?

have you got a problem with yours?
you may be better posting on the 2015 thread... here,

Yep, broken ankle and elbow mean I can't drive it for 6 weeks!!

The car itself, no problems, I love it.

My 2016 has an issue with the passenger door card. No pictures of the problem just now.

I didn't know where to post the question (general really), so how can this topic be moved to the correct area?

Nothing to report, had the passenger door actuator deadlock not allowing me access to the vehicle after 4 weeks of ownership. Quickly resolved and nothing else its been brilliant

Nothing to report, apart from two '14 warranty items, the boot seal/bump stops and fuel flap not always opening. Bought in May last year.

Well mine has done just over 8,000 miles in 6 months. I don't use it much...but I will in winter.

In the first month I had all 4 TPMS sensors replaced (under warranty), as they were not communicating with the car and I had the TPMS fault on.

At present I feel that the steering wheel is slightly turned to the right (2 or 3 degrees) when the car goes straight, which means that maybe the FRH toe is slightly in (this is what I get from the screen I think?)
Also I think (I don't really want to!) there is a leak of some kind of oil, as when I leave the car parked for a week, I see a very small patch under it just in front of the centre of it. Could it be from the central differential?!??

Anyhow, I can see a visit to you Rob on the schedule for all above issues and of course the 10,000 mile service! Who else would be better to get his hands on my car than somebody who owns one and services it himself!!!!

I forgot, there is also a (not so) nice bolt stuck at the outer third of the RRH tyre (not loosing air thankfully), so a new Dunlop tyre has been ordered

That's it folks...so far

That's just tyre wear mate, also that screen you mentioned doesn't show the alignment lol. Thats the "Vehicle activation status" screen.

When the vehicle is being driven regularly it gets illuminated in blue.
When the Vehicle Dynamics Control system starts to activate, the tires illuminate in yellow.

When the Vehicle Dynamics Control system activates, the tires illuminate in yellow and the Vehicle Dynamics Control system operating indicator flashes on the dash.

Thanks a lot for the replies.
So I went to Colin Appleyard Manchester for the tyre to be replaced, as there was a big screw in it and it was not repairable.
They put a new one Dunlop 245/40 R18
and then the AWD amber light starts to flicker at speed over 30 mph

They told me that some control unit is far too sensitive (?known problem on the 2015 models?) and when a new tyre is placed this can happen.
So a new one will need to be ordered (under warranty) they don't know when it will come
On top of this they told me that it's OK to drive the car

What is all this...? I thought I bought a new car not to have all these silly electronic problems

Any ideas please?

Twice recently in mine when ive been accelerating up to around 80 a weird noise seems to come from the rear passenger side under the car. Not sure if its brake/wheel or potentially exhaust. Only happens above these speeds. First time there was quite a strong smell, second time was only for a few seconds so no real smell

For reference ive done 17k over 13 months.

No other problems apart from this

So apart from passenger door card, passenger door actuator deadlock, boot seal and fuel flap, TPMS sensors, a leak of some kind of oil, electronic problems, and weird noises from the rear of the car, there's not much that goes wrong with them!!!

lol cynic they aren't really big issues reported so far, apart from the electrical ones someone else has above. All of them would have been rectified on warranty anyway, well apart from the screw in the tyre

I also had a weird noise from the rear above 100mph, it was the rear number plate flapping about on the bootlid as it hadn't been stuck on properly by the dealer

I thought to update you: the greasy leak was the effect of the water (of the air condition pipe) going to the underside waxed parts of the car, so phew no problem (other than me been a daft blonde)

As for the AWD flickering, I was told it happenbs because the very sensitive control unit (which will be changed under warranty-on back order now) feels that the new tyre is bigger rim, because it's 8mm whereas the other tyres are about 6.5mm. So I am thinking of keeping this new tyre by 2PSi underinflated hoping this will fool the "clever" module. Oh and the TPMS will trigger for more than 3PSi difference (already seen that)
I'll let you know!

Hang on are you saying they have they put on the replacement tyre with a different profile to the other three? That's not a good idea to be honest and i'm not surprised that the control unit is freaking out. That's nearly as bad as putting on a completely different tyre across the axle. You should always replace tyres across the axle in pairs and not mix them up.

even with a matched new pair of dunlops they do the same. the rolling radius of the wheels is greater than the other axle so it detects a speed mismatch stopping the active torque vector off. The new DCCD module is less sensitive to these issues.

Thank you Rob for clearing my mind
The question now is when the new module will arrive!
In the mean time I see if reducing the pressure on the new tyre works, which I doubt...

Our first modules are due this week off back order, I cant quote the same for everyone else.

Reducing the tyre pressure will only have a negative effect on the TPMS system so you wont win unfortunately. Its a case of sitting tight until the module from your dealer arrives.

Apparently the tyre problem is down to the '15 STis being supplied with Jap spec tyres. The profile and diameter are the same, but there's another 3 or 4 digit number after that which is different on Japanese spec/sourced tyres to that on UK spec tyres. That's the story I got from Europa Subaru when I got mine - ex-demo, they found one punctured tyre during the usual pre customer pickup checks so replaced it with a new one - then the lights started flashing. Took them a while to find it, so delayed me picking it up by a week. They solved it by putting 4 UK spec tyres on. I was even shown the difference in the number.

Oh yeah, and no problems (other than the two warranty-fixed ones already mentioned) so far.

Interesting...
But what could be wrong with the tyres, even if they are from Japan??? When I next change tyres, I won't put those provided by UK. I'll get them from mytyres website and they are based in Germany. So will again the AWD flicker???

It doesn't matter what you get next, or where from, as long as its a complete set of 4.

As mentioned depends on stock level in japan, if they have none its a wait for the supplier.
