Engine Knocking Subaru Legacy B4 RSK S-Edition 2003
Hey Guys,
Im Pretty new to this forum so forgive me if I am breaking any rules, I own a 2003 Subaru Legacy B4 RSK S edition ( which is mostly stock to my knowledge ) which has recently come into a bit of trouble.
While driving back from the beach one night I noticed that my engine has began to make a knocking sound and I am now fairly scared to drive it as I dont want the whole thing to seize if it ends up being a bottom end failure. I have owned the car for little over a week so this is slightly frustrating. Anyone have any useful tips or information as to why the car may be doing this?
All help is greatly appreaciated
Cheers,
Casey

Could well be bottom end bearing failure.
Get a vid up so we can hear the noise.
I would be tempted to drain the oil through a fine cloth/muslin and see if there are any bits of metal in there.
