Default Sti V5 type r

Been a member a couple of years now, and been too busy playing with the impreza to upload any pics! Bought her about a year ago completely standard 49k, 2 owners loved it! Then had a "brain wave" wasn't fast enough at 300bhp with the dccd short ratio box so set about stripping her an so the project began...

First was to remove the engine and strip, to my suprise I found some forged pistons an a set of rods! Bonus!

Why is it i buy a grey one and suddenly they start poping up all over the place? lol

classic sti's all had forged pistons mate and those look like standard ones.

rods dont look normal though

The pistons were mahle one's mate, so I bought a rotated gt30r setup from a member on here an then got to specing up the rest of the car to cope with it!

Got myself a the running gear from a 2005 sti 6 speed shafts diff, linkage flywheel an starter motor

Stripped the box an diff replaced a couple of bearings one on input shaft an the other on output back end and synchro on 2,3 an fourth!

the ones that came out of it? did it say on the side?

the crown profile is the same as the ones that came out of mine (checked in the garage lol) which are standard v5 sti's

No inside and they were 1mm oversized
