Black, on black, on black, on black......
Had a few bits and pieces on my car painted (incl interior). I was a bit worried the wheels would be too dark to start with and would ruin the overall look. But to say I love it, is an understatement. Im gradually acquiring more and more black parts lol For anyone interested, the wheel colour is a Land Rover metallic, looks ace in the sun.
Pics below, cheers

Loving the different colour brake callipers, have considered doing mine but not sure which colour to have
Pretty much the route I took with mine.....
Plus a few Carbon Fibre bits, agree with previous comments, de-sticker the fog lamp covers

I can't de-sticker the covers as they've been repainted before and the new decals laquered over the top lol. I'm thinking about changing them for custom air intakes anyway at some point.

Yours looks ace too mate Yeah the calipers were a bit of a gamble, but it paid off nicely. Not quite so in your face as the orange, but they really pop with the black wheels.

I had thought about white as I have a bit of a black and white theme starting under the bonnet but then I think they might look naff, but now I have seen the silver....

cool car i like the caliper colour you have because it matches the prodrive emblem.
Its something small...but the housing with two screws in that sits infront of the speedo, would look good if the inside only was also black to tie in with the centre console and side vents, plus it would add some nice light reflection from the speedo at night

So I gave the car a much needed clean the other day (before it rained again )
it came up well. Please excuse the lack of tyre black. I've run out....
Since the last pics its had the editions of rear bumper corner spats, and a rear diffuser from HT Autos.

You have to drive a GTI-R, there really is nothing else like it. Mine had a hybrid roller bearing turbo and absolutely no lag at all. My girlfriend at the time used to say tha acceleration was digital, like a switch. You didn't so much accelerate, more like you were instantly going very fast indeed.
I did 169mph in that car!

you used to be able to pick one up for about 3-4k lol. People couldn't give them away! The only ones left for sale now are the other side of 10k and are concours cars...or are mostly rusted away and need a full rebuild. I haven't seen one on the road for a long time!

Mine was show standard when I sold it for £6.5k many years ago. I checked recently on the DVLA site and it hasn't been taxed or on the road for a long time. The last MOT failure list was HUGE so I suspect owners after me didn't care for it like it did. Shame.
I keep looking. I'd happily own another one.
Found my 380bhp black FD3S RX7 on ebay a few weeks back. That seems to have appreciated since I sold it too! Typical.

An FD is on my wanted car list too. I've had a lot of different jap cars, but the only ones left that I've always hankered for are:
FD RX7
Pulsar GTI-R
Supra (Mk4) TT
R32 GTR
I'll be selling the subaru soon to fund a house purchase...but once that's all done and I can get myself a toy again, it will be one of those 4 cars.

Yep, good list. Never owned a Supra or GTR, they were on my list too.
Have owned a Lotus Elise engine Metro GTI (that was very fun), a late model Vento VR6 (Amazing noise from the engine) and a Lancia Delta Integrale (Amazing car).
Girlfriend at the time just couldn't understand the Integrale, she said it was just boxy and ugly. I loved it!

haha. That's one of many reasons!
I tried to buy a classic Audi Quattro once that had been sat in someones front garden for years unloved. They just didn't want to sell it though. No matter what I said they had made their mind up it was staying there. Drove past a few weeks after I'd visited and it had gone! Gutted!
