Justin,
Shame there are no pics of you and your 'friend' in the Lotus![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
You must of been going backwards in the picture as you only overtake on the right![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Si.

As an Australian, let me take this moment to apologise to all you British people for us sending our road going boats to you - otherwise known as the Holden (General Motors) Commodore (see the 'burnt orange' car in pic 8)... Could also be called a GTS or Monaro in the UK. Its just sad that now the rest of the world will start seeing how bad we are at 'performance' cars...

LOL
He was a nice chap once I spoke to him
had a good play with him on the last session, very evenly matched, I could just put some distance between myself and him when clear, he caught me up with traffic, and passed me when my brakes went AWOL into the chicane
never been so sideways and caught it ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

RE: Holden Commodore, the GTS /GTSR are fantastic cars - been out in Oz and for £30,000 you get V8 5.7 litre supercar , four doors and sounds fantastic, mates got an ex-TWR one in this country - more should be imported....
(p.s. bet your a ford falcon fan....ZZZZzzzzzzz)

SDUKES,
Nah, Im neither a Holden Commodore or Ford Falcon fan. They are both really boring cars and so over rated by most Australians - most Australians (like most Americans) appear not to care about cars that can actually go around corners. I like my WRX, have 2 motorbikes (dirt, road) and race a Datsun 1600 in a club level state rally series (nothing serious, just masses of fun) so I dont really get into the typical Australian Ford vs Holden debate. Granted the 5.7L Holdens do sound great though! But they do drive like a boat. The Holden Commodore is the most sold car in Oz - owned by most suburban families, used as company cars, used as our taxis, etc, etc and then HSV (Holden Special Vehicles) tart them up a bit: bigger engine (Australians love big V8s), wheels, body kits, and a (little) suspension and brake work (if your lucky) and then charge a fortune for them. The base model Commodore (for ma and pa) would be about AU$28,000 and then the most basic (and I mean basic: bigger engine, body kit) HSV version is about AU$55,000 (approx - dont quote me though!) whilst the 'fanciest' is AU$80,000-90,000 (and still looks like a taxi inside). For comparision a WRX is AU$40,000 (approx) and the STi and B4 are AU$55,000 a BMW M3 is AU$140,000. Different horses for different courses I guess, but I know which one I would have...
