ta, wasnt sure about the brilliant red at first but it is sooo clean that it defies its age totally, it sparkles like a new car! going in for a big service tommorow ouch! you really should all have a go in one of these & throw it around a few corners, above 3500 - 4000 is where it all happens like i say though a bit dissapointing of the line though, still its worth it for the fact that in the 2 wks of ownership i have seen the sum total of ZERO other e30 m3's on the road!

Congrats on your purchase.... you won't be dissappointed and if you take her out on track, well then you'll really see the difference, remember unlike most cars BMW built this as a race car first and a road car second.

Where are you going to get the car serviced? I strongly recommend you use Bexley Motor Works in Bexleyheath.... ask on any of the BMW forums and you will get this answer.

hi mate, i was going to take it to cooks ferry as they are local, i have indeed noticed that the m3 badge is on the wrong side, i suspect the boot has had paint as it is so very very very brilliant red inside, its not on the hpi & the prev owner swears it wasnt him, ive since discovered that there was 1 owner after him so who knows
i am ordering a new m3 badge as i dont think they can be recycled can they after you hairdry floss them off? when you start your up is it quite noisy at first but remains quite gravelly/tappety even when warm?

They do sound like a bag of bones at idle... esp when cold, but if you feel it is worse on yours than other cars then I would recommend you fit a timing chain tensioner off of an E36 (common and simple mod) any garage worth their salt wrt to E30-M3's will know tell you this though.
You really should take it to Bexleys ... speak to Nigel or Jags - 0208 304 9797, it was the best advice anyone ever gave me.

mine... late 1990 EVOII
EVOII front spoiler, DTM rear spoiler... though you can buy the Sport Evo rear spoiler with a similar adjustable gurney flap.
As it is not my daily driver it is running high lift cams, stripped out etc etc . Leda coilovers, adjustable camber plates.... and I thought i was going to get out of modding cars after I sold the scoob!!
I love these cars... on track they are the nuts

thanks very much mate, i will go through the links in the morning at work, nice one. the car goes in for a basic check over at cooks ferry oil service, p/s seems to bind on full lock from time to time, put it down to fan belt though? handbrake needs adjusting thats about it really, i'll see how they get on as its so local, but i asked about the tensioners & the guy laughed it off really so lets see what he makes of the car, but i will gice the bexley crew a call anyhow to get some advice depending what the outcome from cooks ferry, have you ever come across these guys?
