And the ICE Install

Still pretty much standard.

Except
Blackjax
Tracker Monitor
Blaupunkt Stereo & Changer with infinity speakers.

only external mod so far is metal subaru dust caps (adventurous or what)

eager to do some mods but the warranty is kind of important at the moment.

on the to do list

Tints.
Fog lamp covers of some sort
Autometer Gauges
Exhaust or PPP.

Hi,

I think I've seen you around. I was riding my Mountain Bike from Toft heading back towards Cambridge and saw a silver MY03 come past the other way. It was the first MY03 I'd seen at the time so it stuck in my mind.

Ben.

Keep an eye out on the "Southern Section" - there are evening meets held at the Plough in Fen Ditton every month of so. A nice bunch of folks show up too!

Aye lovely motor, I just had the sills colour coded and imo it makes the car look a little lower and sets it off really nicely. Just a thought

Was thinking about colour coding the sills but need to get some mudflaps first as without the stones will make the sills tatty really quickly.

Do they ever, the biggest difference was the head unit, As I fitted this first before the speakers, The OEM kenwood head unit is shockingly bad,

If you are still using the oem head unit I would replace this rather than just the speakers. but both is better.

original speaker, paper cone about 3cm's deep, magent the size of a 2p, absolute pap.

Great colour silver !!!!
You need to get the sills painted it will make the world of difference. I have had no problems with stone chips at all done 6,500 miles and not a mark........

I see what you said about mod's regarding your warranty, i managed to get an Afterburner back box fitted without any problems at all they accepted it as a cosmetic change.

Great choice of colour !!
Simon

Had the windows tinted a few weeks ago, Went for a medium "legal" tint all the way round. Looks a bit darker as it was overcast whilst I was taking the pictures.

Hey, i dont mean to crash anyones party here, although i havent been able to see any of the pics on this thread yet due to fotopix never showing them!! But i was just wondering on what people thought of mine, and inparticular the use of the prodrive spoiler.....

Any thoughts? i personally think that the spoiler makes it look more like a "proper" scooby, i.e. has a bit more in common with the classics....but thats me....

Im not a big fan of the prodrive spolier, I like the STi style one but cant justify the price, would rather stick the money in the bank towards a STI with one already fitted, but there is no way i can insure that at the moment.

I can understand where your coming from with the STi spoiler pbee, although like you i couldnt really justify the price of it anyway, let alone an Sti, im only 23, not sure of yourself.

Id never put the Sti spoiler on the WRX though, i think it would look silly, on the Sti it looks great, largely due to the rest of the subtle body changes that come with it. I did see an 03' GX with the Sti spoiler on it and it really did look awful!!

I just wanted someway of distinguishing mine from other i suppose, I havent seen ANY that look like it thanks to the spoiler and hopefully i wont!

Im interested by what you said about your ICE setup though, i have to say that i agree the standard stuff is a bit pants. How easy was it to fit yours? or did you get it done for you? How about the speakers? are the door panels easy to get off?

Cheers,

Neil.

PBee, did the dealer fit it for you? does it affect warranty? (the STI backbox i mean.)

Thanks!

It wasn't fitted by a dealer, I did it myself with a help from a mate. I couldnt imagine it would affect the warranty much as it is a genuine subaru part, back boxes are normally seen as cosmetic changes as opposed to anything else, If Subaru do have a problem i can just swoop it back fro the original pea shooter.
