.....but I don't care!!!
I bought this spoiler for three reasons, one, it is different and rare, two, it is light as a feather, and three, it is adjustable and unlike most spoilers actually produces downforce!
And does it!
We took a particularly fast and twisty route to billing on Saturday, and above 70 mph you can now feel the car being pushed onto the tarmac. The faster you go the more stable it feels. I have a feeling this is probably now working in conjunction with the UK 300 lip spoiler, but either way it is amazing.
Interestingly it has also affected the steering, which now feels smoother and more accurate. Along with the quick rack I've fitted last week, it has totally transformed the car, and it wasn't half bad before!!!
Looking forward to my next track day now![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Hopefully this will keep me planted on those nasty crests at the Nordschleife!![EEK!](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/eek.gif)

LMAO @ panel filter comment!! ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Thanks peeps, wasn't expecting that I have to say! I was worried it would look too 'fast and furious' for most.
Forgot to add a big 'thank you' to Iain @ Litchfield Imports for using his great contacts to import this for me!

Also just finished fitting a set of Defi BF gauges.
Bearing in mind I am not hugely technical, nor do I have a garage or any more than rudimentary tools, I am dead chuffed that I did it all myself!
Boost gauge was a cinch, but oil temp involved removing strut brace, intercooler and oil breather and managed to break a ratchet trying to get the blanking plug off cylinder 3
Scariest tho was the oil pressure which involved removing the alternator!!![EEK!](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/eek.gif)
Actually turned out to be fairly painless and I now have a lovely set of working defi gauges without paying a penny for fitting.

The control unit is stuck under the steering column using Velcro strips. You can just about see the corner of it peeking through the bottom hole in the steering wheel!

I always thought that spoilers only produced downforce with speeds well in excess of 100mph? Can you really feel such a difference?
Boring fact.....
Did you know that the Escort Cossie with the whale-tail removed could record a top speed 5mph higher than with it fitted?
I need to get out more.....

Hi Ed -->
nice looking spoiler !
--> I think the black suits a green car better than ones I've seen on blue cars and the yellow S202.
Just curious - why have you installed SECS AND Gauges? What did you want out of the monitor ....
DaveR

Nathan - I have a little complimentary part coming in the post later this week. Hopefully then fitted early next week in time for Donington ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Dave - two reasons, firstly I really wanted the fault code analysis and ECU reset functions that the SECS supplies. It also has some other needs functions like shift light (see the top left of my steering column) and some other useful readings like exhaust gas temperature and a fuel ratio. The second, more simple reason is that I am a tart

Talizman - I can understand you being sceptical, I probably would be too. However, I changed the rear wing in isolation (ie not at the same time as any other new upgraded parts) and I could feel the difference instantly the first time I went above about 80mph. (on a track of course).
Interestingly it seems to have affected the steering most, which although fantastic before, has now lost ANY wallow or vibration it previously had.
The car now sticks like glue through really fast corners (100mph) and you don't get any of that 'floaty' feeling, which gives you so much more confidence to press on. As I said, I am presuming it is now complementing the UK300 front lip, which is also designed to specifically combat lift as opposed to just looking nice. I believe it was designed by Peter Stevens?

Looking good matey
in fact I would go as far to say it looks
"the almonds"
Very interesting about downforce - can you please send me the info(to my email), if i want to get one (I wanted to see one of these on a wrx before getting one, and it looks the dogs).
Hope you don't mind the copying factor![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Speak to you soon
