Hello to everyone here. Nice place going here. Websites on the scubie are hard to find and im glad i found this one.
Anyway thought i would share my pics with you all of my new scuby coming this thursday the 23rd august.

The car is a jap WRX Sti v7 improted into the UK and only 11,000 miles on it. You gotta love jap spec as this beast runs at 310BHP standard.
However there are some serious mods done and its producing well over 350BHP.

Here are a couple of pics of my beast arriving on 23/08/03.

STATS:
WRX STi Version 7, tuned with well over 300 BHP, 6 spd manual,

Upgrade ECU, 6 speed, A/Con, E/W, P/S, ABS, Air Bag, driving fogs, pro-drive xenon lamps, subtle body-kit, WRC rear wing, MD/CD, O.Z. Gold Alloys, stainless exhaust upgrade, Intercooler Water spray. Rally Logos Japanese shop display car.

Also anyone help me out with what the hell this bodykit/front bumper is for the Subaru. Looked all over net and cant find it anywhere but it looks so good.

I especially like the way the designers of the blue car, put a can holder under the bonnet above the battery, for when you are working on your engine

Nice Silver JDM

Nathan..

That blue car won a competition for best interior/exterior modded scubie somewhere. Lost the dam webpage but if i get the website again i will post it here.

As im new to scubies. Can anyone tell me what sorta performance gains can be EASILY achieved with relative ease and cost.
At the moment i am running pro pack exhaust so that covers that side and the ECU has been upgraded and the guy at showroom that is selling me the car says there is something relating to the german nurnberg ring in the engine. Possibly ECU? Anyone enlighten the old grey matter?
If i wanted to go for about 380/400BHP, what sorta stuff should i be looking into?

Thanks everyone for the feedback and hello to you all!!

Right a standard jap sti is 280 bhp, first thing to look at is a decent system and decat. Scoobysport downpipe seems the best and the HKS Hiper system gives the best gains. This wll take you to over 300 BHP. Porting your old manifold or a new one such as hks or grupe-s will free upmore powr.

You will probably need a new turbo for that power as the largest standard ones only manage 380 at a push. You will also need new injectors, fuel pump, fpr etc.

Frount mounted intercooler is a must as the top mount is crap. HKS is the best make for standard off the shelf fmics.

Management wise id sell the ppp and buy a fully mapable one as with theabove mods you wil need one.

Id also consider water injection to keep the engine in one piece

At a push the above should get you 400 bhp, though you are around the level where you really should uprate the internals too. Iknow a few people who got around 400 without uprated internals, but its a little risky

DJ WATTS,

Hi, recognised the name and car from CB, I post (occasionally) as AJ.

I'd think you'd really want to find out what exactly your car is fitted with before anything else. If it's a Subaru/Prodrive ECU, it will be re-mappable as it is. Although 400bhp figures are attainable with things like large turbos and FMIC's, they're not cheap, and I got the impression from your second post that you are looking for something a little less extreme to start with.

I'd definately start by paying somone to look at your car to determine what it's actually running, plus a power run on a rolling road perhaps, so you know where you are.

I look forward to seeing the car around, I'm in this..

I'll have to leave it to someone else local to advise you on specific rolling roads and such, I've not needed to use one yet. Many of the more commonly named specialists on here are a few hours away ie. TSL, Power Engineering, Powerstation etc. There must be one closer, I'm just not sure where.

Thanks by the way, about the car. I've had it for about 5 months now, it's a Type UK so only 300bhp/ and 300lb/ft though lol. I'm in Lytham St.Annes, and very occasionally pop down to Yeadon Way.

Your going to love driving that car.
I've had my JDM STi 7 nearly a year now, and it currently has 331.5 bhp with an HKS Drager exhaust.
I've been speaking to John Banks about whats next, he can do the ECU to smooth out the duty cycle and hold the boost better. They already run a high boost - over 1.5 bar, so a big increase in this isn't on. An uprated fuel pump, knocklink and seperate Bosch sensor is also needed.
So this is what I'm looking into, along with an HKS front mounted intercooler.

Difficult to say what it will produce, but 350 - 360 bhp won't be too far away.

I added some more info about my car, on the web-site, look at "Our Cars". www.drmotorsport.co.uk

I may see you down yeadon way sometime as i will be there when this car arrives on thursday night.
Me and my brother also run that website called cruiseblackpool.co.uk and lots of people that go down there hang out at this site which is good.
Nice to talk to someone local, and a scubie owner like me to boot.

The car i have already has an upgraded ECU and its aparently benefiting from it.
Do Proven Concepts do an ECU cuz if they do then i have this one as its inside the engine. Anyone shed any light here and if they are any good?
Also there is something in the car relating to the German nuenberg ring modified and can anyone shed any light here?
Any possibilities on what these items inside my engine could be would really be apreciated.

Im just passing the time here with scubie owners and facts until my car comes on thursday and i can feel that turbo so im gearing myself up for it!

Take care everyone!

That blue car is a World One Performance flagship.
( notice the gold World One graphics)
It can be found at...

I'm sure they have a mod list for the car including the body kit.
