My new rally car.Sold my 205 for it.It does not look the worlds best car but it goes like a good one.Its as quick on gravel as an Impreza WRX.

1998 Daihatsu Coure Avanzato

600cc Turbo 4wd 16v Twin Cam
Uprated Turbo
Group N ECU
OMEX Full Throttle Gear change
Aircraft Belts
AP Clutch
S/S Exhuas
Blueprinted
SD Cage
Front & Rear LSD`s
5 Speed Box
Lightweight Panels
40mm Bilstein Coilovers
Electric Powered Steering
Quick Rack
Vented Discs & AP Pads
Tripe Metre
Electric Fire Eater
Sparco Mag Wheels

Won daihatsu challange in 1999,Runner Up 2000 & Scottish Tarmac Championship Winner 2001.Its a fantastic little car and very quick for what it is and sticks to gravel like sh*t to a blanket.Almost as much fun as driving my Impreza.Has anyone seen it compete in any rallys over the last 4 years since it was built. You get some funny looks in it but once you put the foot down your the one laughing.

First class buy mate, my mate Mark wheeler drove the car for a couple of years and had some great results in it.It didnt win the 2001 strc but did very well mind you.Loads of history on the car if you want it or maybe not!!!

Most of all while the car was rallying it was meticulously looked after with no expense spared.

Enjoy it and kepp it on all 4.

the only problem I ever found with narrow tracked cars like yours it that running down the order like they do the ruts are a complete pain in the **** to get any sort of rythmn without hopping from one side of the road to another... Looks cool though!!!

Does it sneeze when you change gear?

There were a couple of these running in the 1400's field of the BTRDA last year.

Yeah its pretty narrow so bottoms out a lot although under the car is very clean hardly any dents and after 4 years of forrest it must be a strong car.No idea what you mean by sneeze with gear changes but the turbo makes a weird kind of noise.

How does it get air into the scoop when the light pod blocks it off?
