i made one of them intercooler protectors up, and sprayed wrx onto it in red, then fitted it and decieded i didnt want it there cos it would restrict airflow so i stuck it on shecks engine when he wasnt looking lol
might even still be there cos he never cleans the car lol

Depends on how big the holes are in the mesh, the stuff i got was fairly large so i cant see it restricting the intercooler.
Having said that when i change my intercooler to the STI one i wont bother putting it back on as it will get in the way of the water spray....

Okay, silly question time....
When pressure washing/steam cleaning the engine, other than the obvious things like intercooler and ignition module, induction kit etc, are there any other things which require to be covered/avoided?

dead_neurons - De-greaser and a steam cleaner...that's all there's to it! ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Other bit's to avoid in addition to what you said Talizman are: Alarm siren (cover it in a bag), avoid direct pressure at the Purge solonoid, Fuse box, and in to the alternator. Oh and I would'nt do it whilst the engine/turbo is hot either.

halfrauds sell a kit, 2 bottles of "stuff" about a tenner - real easy just need a hose, I went easy round the intercooler and a few other delicate areas(covered with newspaper) - its 2 biggish aerosol cans, I forget the name
