Sorry, I'm just not feeling it
The mesh particularly is hideous. It doesn't look remotely aggressive, or 'special'

I know what you mean about the mesh, I think the lower of the two pieces needs to be set further in, rather than flush with the bodywork.
What is the actual colour of that particular car? Hard to tell from those pictures alone!

just looking out the window at my WR Blue STI8, looks miles better!!!!!
Phoned up my dealer last night and they have 11 WR1`s coming, it would cost me approx £9-10k to change, worth it???? I think not!!!!

its just looks like a silver sti with fog lights!!!
A 'Special Edition' yet they see fit to limit the 'unique' mods to...
Ice Blue Metallic Paint - Woo Hoo
Driving Lamps (a la WRX)
Stainless Steel mesh grille (free gift in this months Max Power)
Sounds like they've whipped the seats from the Spec C also (anthracite instead of blue suede)
'Special' gearknob, mats and tax disc holder....
What a let down!
They had so much potential to make it a truly stonking special edition and instead they've made it less visually desirable than an STI (IMHO)
At least it has more power and DCCD I suppose.
And at last they are selling the car with 18's and Prodrive springs so theoretically, owners shouldn't have to shell out more cash to make the car "the way it should have been built" like us STI owners!

ok i know there some 'under the bonnet' differences from the standard sti but...
if i was going to pay extra for a special edition i would want it to look different at first glance then after a second look see a lot more difference.
for starters, the front bumper styled on the wrc, a bigger grille gap between the bonnet and the top on the bumper. carbon fibre front lip.
wrc style side skirts
19" OZ super turismo wheels
and some graphics with WR1 on the side skirts, sides of boot spoiler
this SE is based on a rally breed, y not make it look the part.
example is the EVO makkinen edition, 22B, P1
these represented the WRC breed they originated from.
seems such a let down after all we was expecting

How is the silver colour considered "ice-blue"?
Or is the "ice-blue" colour really the silver color??
Strange . . .
Subaru should really move forward and make a Front mounted intercooler car just like the WRC cars and give it the hood vents.
Otherwise, future STi cars' hoodscoops will block out 100% of the driver's view.
