Evo VIII FQ300 without spoiler
Saw this from a distance today and wondered what it is 
Initial thought was it looks a bit like an Evo but its not. Then I got closer and noticed no spoiler 
Thats why I didn't recognise it! It looked aufull IMHO, particularly as it had a bigger than standard exhaust which made my car vibrate. 
The funnyest thing was, I was in a 1.4 Golf "Match" ( 
) courtesy of Europcar and still manage to catch and overtake it 
(Sorry about the photo quality, only had my mobile phone with me... obviously I was parked in a safe place before using it
)

Recall reading an article saying that the lastest RS (or whatever the stripped down version is called) doesn't come with a spoiler. Apparently the testers said it wasn't a problem unleess you're nailing it around a winding track at around 130

This was an FQ300 so should have had a spoiler, although they wern't doing anywhere near 130mph, so I doubt they were having too many handling problems

It looks better than the normal car, smacks far less of trying to make up for something lacking in the trouser dept. Hey but if you need a big wing to feel like a man, we understand why.

I saw a Evo 8 with no spoiler, de-badged, and the Audi OOO badge stuck on with TDi on the bottom r/h/s instead

OK it was a Evo 7 and when I saw it the spoiler was removed, but you get the idea right.
