A few laps of Oulton Park
My first attempts at digitising some of my track footage.
This was last November, a few laps with instructor, race driver and co-developer of the Focus RS Neil Briggs giving some tips on my (lack of) driving style
Mind you, gave the Porker a surprise and only thing that passed me all day was a Eurocar on slicks

You will have to right-click then save as, I don't think it will work just clicking through...

Yeah Neil Briggs is a fantastic instructor, I have a lot more on video from that day, gave me some great advice on seating positions etc.

Excellant footage. A track I'll need to do this year. Found myself watching the vid and working out where it could drift and have serious fun.

Have watched this a few times now Ed but I have have a question to ask? Your instructor said that you go into corners braking softly then harder and I think he said to do the opposite(muffled sound) was this the case?
ps. I do hope that you will be up at coombe on the 27th to watch us all

John, lots of room for sideways fun, you can prolly tell from he vid I was sliding thru the 1st corner, and also after the chicane, but I was going more for speed than style There is plenty of good fast bends for showboating
Conrad, cant remember, I got a couple clear laps on video so will watch it back later. LMFAO @ Robbie Williams, I'll tell him that
Beams, yeah you are supposed to brake really hard first, and then gradually ease off so the car is settled before you start turning. Will almost defo be there on the 27th
WRXtankie, thanks, Oulton is like a mini-ring, but I know where I'd rather be

Interestingly you shifted into 3rd at Druids which is what I did prior to having instruction. I was advised to keep it in 4th which did seem to keep it smoother and faster. Your car is lower geared than mine, so it should work for you too.

Davy - was it dry when you were out? It was very slick on the day we were there, esp on Druids (as Nozzer will attest ) I was a bit cautious about carrying too mcuh momentum thru there. Will defo remember that next time though
