Cool S C O O B Y

Just thought I'd post the results of re-badging my Scooby (sorry the pics aren't too brilliant, but had to take them in the garage. Will post better ones if anyone wants).

One blistered finger later:

The "C" doesn't look as bad as it does in the picture - honest. Must be the lighting. In any case, I have a spare set so if it looks bad in the daylight I can always replace it

I'm wondering what the guys at Subaru Luxembourg are going to make of it when I get it PPP'd next week

The lettering came from a company in the US, Your Emblem, and look are darn sight better than the naff "Ford" letters people are fobbing off on eBay. They will offer group discounts if anyone else is interested.

Looks Good! Is the C on wonky or is it just the funny shaped ends that make it look like that?

Are you still planning to come to the International meet near Stuttgart? We can judge it properly there

Well now you know what to replace them with

Cheers for compliment.

Any one know if there's a PPP badge? If not I might use the same people again.

I'm beginning to get paranoid now, but I'll make a judgement call tomorrow in the daylight. As I wrote, it's not the end of the world seeing as I have a spare. In fact it might be possible to resuse a removed letter if I replace the sponge sticker with some British Telecom double-sided tape (strong stuff).

Not sure that I can now as it clashes with a potential work commitment (and I'ze be needingz the dosh), but I'm still secretly hoping for it to get bumped to another date

I'm beginning to agree. Had another look this morning

Oh well, out with the hair drier again - actually if I just soften it up I might just be able to twist it round a touch.

I think it would look better without the scooby writing on there atall, would look classier. (no offence)

The problem is that I must have taken the shot with an upward angle, i.e. I was low, which gives a false impression of this - the black reflection, which is me, doesn't help either. The S is the same which ever way I put, unlike the original S U B A R U lettering.

When I take the car out again, I'll try and get a better shot.

I had small amount of time last night to try to "twist" the "C" round, and I thinks it's better. Either that, or my photo is taken at a better angle.

The "S" looks okay as well

Actually, I would have liked to spread them out further, but they're smaller than the standard letters and I think it wouldn't have looked right IMHO.

As an "homage" to the original, I used the old "B" on it's side as the spacing for the new ones.
