We had some black & white pic's down of our boys and just got them back from the photographers today 
got to choose 3 to have enlarged and framed.

u aint seen the prices they charge
just over £100 for 3, 12 x 10'sthen we get to keep the negitives so i can take them into click or what ever its called and get some more blown up a damn sight cheaper

you know they probably own the copyright on the negatives and it might be difficult to get copies?
I tried to do the same on my wedding photos and couldnt' get copies of my own photos done!
Still, you could always scan them in and get prints done.
