John
You should get disco/knight rider style lights on the AFR day or night when the car is ticking over (at least once the engine has warmed up, or more specifically the lambda)
on WOT you should get the green leds lighting up on the rich side, anywhere near stoich or lean could be a problem

Well im not getting naff all unless im being completely thick.
Red wire has gone to +12v
Black wire has gone to battery negative
Purple wire has gone to the white wire with silver stripes on ecu blue plug.
used my meter to check voltages
Red to black +11v
Black to red -11v
Purple to black - varying voltages dependant on accelerator position.
Im not being thick right????

Hmm, which wire have you tapped into for the +12v ?
my negative goes to the ECU bolt (one of them) and a big earthing cable goes from that straight to the battery -
you should get varying voltages upto around 0.85-0.9 on WOT providing Lambda is ok
I found after fitting mine, that my lambda was a dud, replaced it and its been fine ever since
edited to add you should get at least *something* on the display, even with a duff lambda I was getting the disco lights, until the engine was warm, then nothing at all

at moment its off the *** lighter which also runs the backlight for boostgauge.
If there isnt a backlight then why is there a red and black wire to connect??

John, before you disconnect any wiring, turn your lights on, and try it again ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Red & Black wires are to provide voltage for the leds
which are controlled by the purple wire (voltage from Lambda)
It sounds like you could have wired the red to the lighting circuit, so try it with your lights switched on![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Editedto add, there are two lots of power running to the cig lighter, one is for the cig lighter itself, and the other is for the cig lighter bulb (wired to lighting circuit

right ive got it working ( i think ) wire crossed.
Boostgauge has a backlight and is working fine.
Now ive got the following.......
last green light on on tickover, just ran it up the road and back and same light stayed on. not seen any of the other 19 leds lit yet lol.

hehe, there is no backlight circuit on the AFR gauge, only power to power the gauge, and the purple for the lambda voltages
on idle once warm you should see the leds flickering back and forth
on WOT you should see the leds move round to the green area and sort of stay there whilst on WOT, once cruising you should then see the disco/knight rider flicking back n forth of all the LED's

LOL, Wide Open Throttle, but yep I guess Welly on Throttle fits too ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Usually takes a few minutes for the lambda & engine to warm up, but you should at least see the other LED's lighting up esp on cruise/idle
