Re the VTA dump valve, not a great idea on a scoob as the previously metered air is now no longer registered, and causes rich spikes on let off of the throttle. Other issues can be idle probs (if not fitted correctly or wrong spring tension) and makes it a more jerky drive, gives no performance gain etc... Apart from that, and the noise, they're a good valve
Go well with the Neons though

Better to get it ECUTEK'd / remapped properly. Get yourself a full decat exhaust and induction kit then a remap. That should liberate 340 ish. you'll be very happy
