Origin B2 install pics wanted.
Had my Origin fitted down by the ashtray for a while now, but to me it's just too far out of the way so I'm considering mounting it on the dash - anyone got theirs fitted where their arm doesn't hide it?

Last one shot from outside, shows GPS antenna nestled up against windscreen, and cables routing inder panel into the bowels of the dash.

Don't the install instructions say to keep the unit about 3ft away from the antenna?
Anyone know why?

If what the said were the case, the antenna would have to sit on the back shelf in every installation!!
Think about a Road Angel for a second - that has everything built into one box, so I don't see why it would suggest siting them that far apart.

I put my Origin B² on the top of the dash just to the right of the instrument dome, next to the air vent. Very clear to see and unobstructed. (put the antenna on the rear shelf)

Sorry I'm an ash tray man 
I have it mounted on the dash in my range rover and never really look at it anymore. Because it talks to you anyway I prefer it out the way myself.

Iv got a MY00 and Im thinking of gettong one.
I dont have it on the dash (on the right hand side) and i dont fancy it down by the ashtray.
I wouldnt mind it mounted infront of the air vent in the centre.

Might get in touch with Origin and ask if you get the readout to display your speed to decimal places - just to annoy that copper who asked me if I knew how how fast I was going last night even more...
