Thumbs up Nipped out for a 130 mile journey and got this....

It was a bit of a trek to Bristol and back (over 250 mile round trip) but dead chuffed with the deal done on this car!

Nearly 4 years old with high mileage, but it was half the price of some of the cars on offer at Subaru dealers!!

After owning three Imprezas, I always vowed I would not have another! But I guess the Forester doesn't count, but it's perfect as the family car it needs to be!

There's no harm improving the handling with wheels and suspension mods! Not really tarty though!!

Private, Y-reg with 99k on the clock, but a complete Subaru history (checked with dealer) including two cambelt changes on time. Scary mileage, but only £6.6k!!

It's an automatic, so there is no way the engine or drivetrain will be have been stressed as much as a manual car!

[Keep repeating to self]

It is only a family workhorse!
It is for my wife to drive!
It must not be modified!
It must not be modified!

[/Keep repeating to self]

Yeah... right!!

PS - Did you know that the automatic gearbox as standard will cope with 400bhp???!!!

PPS - Must repeat my "must not modify" mantra some more!!!

So what happened to your old wheels and when are you fitting the Prodrive brake kit?

You may have a buyer for the wheels and the Godspeed brake kit......

Old wheels are going to be my 'play wheels' for track/airfield days next year (as long as I have some spare time! ) and thats what the Prodive brake kit is for

So i'll save you from modifying this week Andy!

Depends what you mean!

After having a MY97 UK DGM, MY99 UK Silver and then a MY00 UK DBM, it was time to leave Imprezas behind me!

I vowed never to have another Impreza! Insurance, the high profile and every idiot wanting to race you, I could not have another , especially as I'm now married with a baby due in April!

That said it was a hard choice between a Legacy TT or a Forester, but as it was only to be the family workhorse (rather than a fast/show car) insurance was the deciding factor.

UK Forester - £400
UK Impreza - £700
JDM Forester - £700
JDM Legacy TT - £800

The bonus is that it makes the perfect family car, as in the States, it has a 5 star NCAP crash rating.

The ECU is mappable, and the exhaust is de-catable, need I say more?

Get rid of the orange side reps!!!!!!

Stick to the exhaust and a set of 18's...... maybe a lowering kit

Possibly tints and a bigger turbo and remap and ..........

Nice mate I told you to get one of those last time!!

My old faithful personalised number plate has now been added!

If you know what it is, please don't mention it here!

I've been toying with the idea of ex-WR1 wheels!

Although Caroline can't picture them on the car!
