Sun, snow, STi and the Alps
Took the family out for a run today and the camera came along too - once we'd got above cloud level we had some nice views as it was lovely and sunny up there (1323 metres). These were hastily snapped as it was pretty cold toward the end of the day and the kids were impatient.
Hope you like them !

Thanks guys ! I'm thinking that #6 is worth printing and framing (the kids like it)...Bartop, I'll sort you a hi-res version if you like. Tell you what, all that mountain air has left me knackered - the scoob loved it and the missus only screamed at me three times for booting it round the bendy bits...of which there were lots . I reckon that's a record for me

Thanks for the kind words folks.
And now, as seen in Dave's wallpaper thread:
I made a bigger version of the above pic as my wallpaper this afternoon if anyone wants it (1280x1024, 666kb) - right click here and Save As
Very slightly Photoshopped to remove the arrow panel on the bend.

No problems at all - at the moment it's very mild here for this time of the year (temperature is about 6 or 8 degrees on the plain and was about -4 yesterday in the mountains) and there's no sign of winter which is really starting to hurt the ski resorts as they are desperate for a good heavy fall of snow. Winter tyres are recommended at this time of the year of course, but as mine are summer tyres and only a couple of months old they should see me through most conditions.

Cheers ddb85 - as for the weather, Murphy's Law has struck again. After my reply to Nevetas about it being very mild with no snow the weather forecast on French TV last night said that today and tomorrow there would be snow down to 500 metres which means just about everywhere is going to get a dollop of the white stuff ! I don't think there's much chance of a snowy rally though
BTW there's a strike going on in Geneva at the moment - the police and customs officials are working to rule. It took me well over an hour to get home last night - it usually takes me 15 minutes during the day and about twice that in the evening and it was a right pain in the backside as they are checking all the papers for each car which really slows things up. You might encounter a bit of a delay going through the airport - local radio said that the border crossings and Geneva airport are being targetted by the striking officials so bring a good book! If you have a radio with you, tune in to the local English speaking radio station, WRG-FM (www.wrgfm.com) on 88.4 FM for the latest regional news.
