Default Scott Lowe lip, other thread doesn't work.

Thought I’d have another go at posting these, don’t know what happened to the first thread.

Anyway, fitted my lip and Sti aero pieces, I’m well chuffed with the result.

Allan

Nice, I do like that lip spolier - first blob eye I've seen with the prodrive spoiler !
Good effects with the black and white background !

Looks nice Allan.

I am considering getting the scott lowe lip on mine in the spring, think i might get mine colour-coded though.

What do you use to make the background black & white by the way?

That is a little bit of Photoshop magic.

There are several ways to do it, but basically you need to select the background, but not the car, then desaturate it. Quite simple really. It just takes a bit of practice to perfect it.

Hi oobster,

I had intended getting mine painted as well, but thought I would try it without first. Has the added advantage that it won't succumb to the dreaded stone chips.

Pic was modded in Paint Shop Pro, very easy to do. As D16GER said there are several ways to do it. I just copied the image onto a white background, used the selection tool to select the car and create a new layer. You then have both parts on separate layers, and can adjust each as you want.

Looking good Allan. I've got one on my WRX. I didn't colour code, but then I've got a black car.

Yep this is the Sti version, I bought it knowing I was going to fit the aero pieces.

Didn't know he had stopped selling the Carbon version.

Believe Scott had problems with getting the C/F ones manufactured and supplied. Was looking to set up his own fabrication last I heard but not sure how that's going..

Lovely front end treatment combining a detango, Sti aeros and a lower lip, which I think I will try to emulate in the new year.

Can you confirm that nothing else has been done as it makes a massive difference...?

Whereabouts did you get the STi bumper aero corner parts from and what was the cost/part numbers etc.

Hi v8voodoo........thanks. Yes that the only mods made, I'm considering the Scott Lowe lower grill in Black, just to finish it off.

As Darren has pointed out I have put some instructions on the site, this has all the part numbers you need.

Cheers

Alan - have you seen the Subaru Lower Grill which is a genuine oem part available through the dealers. Good quality and looks excellent. Had one on my WRX and tidies up that lower area nicely..

I was after one of Scott Lowe's carbon front splitters for my MY04STi, as I hit some standing water and my genuine V Ltd splitter exploded into several bits.

I spoke to Scott who told me that the chap/firm that actually does the carbon stuff has sold up and that a very well know firm in Banbury, has apparently bought all the equipment.

I then spent ages trying to find something similar as I felt the £395 that your local Subaru dealer charges for a genuine one is OTT. I came across someone that had fitted a Chargespeed one and contacted the UK importer SRB Power (http://www.srbpower.com) about getting my hands on one. It turnt out that AutoBodyWorks in Essex were going to do all Subaru Chargespeed stuff in the UK. ABW you may recall are the firm responsible for the wide bodied Imprezas seen at some shows this year.

I contacted the very helpful Darren at ABW, and put a deposit on his very first splitter that was winging its way on a boat from the land of the rising sun.

Anyway, I fitted it last weekend and I think it look great. The cost was £265+ VAT. I'll post some pictures up later tonight, but in the meantime, have a look here. http://www.a-b-w.co.uk/images/carbonfibre/index.htm

Thanks Allan and thanks for the pointer Scoo8y Mad.

I like what you're doing there, all sensible mods that aren't silly or extreme. Subtle, good looking and effective. I'll be going down a similiar route myself I think.

Very nice Kevin, not seen one of those before. Looks a bit shinier than the other versions. Is your car an STi or WRX ?

Actually just noticed you number plate, I guess it's an Sti then
