Default What we did this weekend - Part 2

Some of you may remember part one here

Today (actually December 4th – I’ve been busy since, but more of that later ) it was my turn to have my car hacked up

The car presently is running a full Magnex decat, k&n 57i, Tek3, STi 6 i/c and a forge vta . Now time for a Hybrid front mount

Pic show:

Out with the old

Off with the bumper

..but what do we have here

If you look closely you can see the rusty member support bracket thingy which was Si’s straight edge. Cheers Si

Minor metalwork tweaking

Lunch - a big shout out to Simb’s missus

What you looking at?

To me……… to you

Nice

Very nice

Many hands…….

My bumper as was….

You won’t believe how much bumper has to disappear.

Bit of a tweak.

Time for a re-fit.

Getting there.

All done

A massive thankyou to Simon, Simb, Danny, Daz and Mat for services over and above the call of duty. A fantastic day was had and even the weather decided to be kind.

Since that weekend, i have visited Scooby Clinic with an uprated fuel pump and this -

Due to ****e mobile pic, i shall point out that this is a VF35 as found on STi8's WR1's etc.
So adding all the ingredients together, i now have this

It has just short of 300ib/ft if you can't make it out. Apparently the bhp figure is not bad for Scooby Clinics rollers, so maybe a trip to the next Well Lane shoot out is in order for a bit of pub talk
The car is completly different to drive. Each gear is despatched in no time what so ever. The only run i've had against anything quick was an Audi S3 - dicked on it

Well done lads
Top job and looks

as cliff said. lots of ppl standing around giving advice

Great weather, cups of tea, sarnies and a bit of dicking around with an angle grinder ..perfect combination

I see you managed to retain your fog fittings as well, which I beieve is a right PITA.
I take it next on the list is a tiny front number plate now...

Just a word of caution in that grinder shot. The metal particles land on ya paintwork and attatch themselves as they are warm, when it rains the car may start to look a rusty colour and feel rough to the touch,i did this to the outlaws fiesta van when doing some welding under it and it looked not good,it was only an old clapper anyway so did'nt really matter but best to cover the scoob in old sheets.

Nice of you to notice someone positive Si
I'm starting to think that I'm loosing some of my hair here with all the bald comments floating about

Good point about the sparks Paul, it was not as bad as it looked as Danny was angled away from the car with most of the sparks, but certainly yes it's one to keep in mind. I should know as I have a nice rusty patch on the glass of the conservatory door ( as silly as it sounds ) from where I had the grinder on some steel a while back and I still can't find anything that will get it off.
