Some awesome toys there guys. And a fantastic variation of hobbies

Loving the boat (my folks have a boat) and the X-packed MK2, what engines in it mate?

I knew that our scoobs no matter how much we love em would only be an item in the toy box..... and there would be plenty others too

Just big *****. You can get a licence and insurance but you don't need them to fly. However, break air law and you'll be in serious trouble - like headbutting a 747 or a huge fine.

I trained and suggest the same to anyone else wanting to have a go. It's pretty easy to put bits of yourself into the prop if you're not in control of what is a very big and powerfull kite and the results are horrific, and that's before you get off the ground. I added the reserve chute after I put one of the control lines into the prop at 1000ft. I was a very lucky chap that day, I'll take a second chance over a little added weight and a few hundred quid.

This video shows what my setup can do Paramania Action although my flying has been a little more relaxed this year.

Nice toys everyone! Have fun, stay safe!!

Jack,

I'm off to NZ in the New Year to lean paragliding Was going to do it in Nepal, but couldn't get it organised in time (season finishes quite early).

It always looked like fun. May have to try it with a prop once I'm qualified

Me jealous, never!! Switching the motor off - or not taking one in the first place - is where the real fun is. There are plenty of people motoring in NZ, you should try to get a go while your practicing Parawaiting.

Thanks, was especially good fun this summer when the exhaust headers gave up, sucked air in on the overrun and blew 4 foot yellow flames out of each side Good laugh at traffic lights!!!!! The only bad bit was being faced with this choice in the mornings.....
