I bought the full EGR bodykit, and had the rear skirt painted up as well, but in the end didn't get it fitted because I sort of like that front-end heavy look .... well spotted though wacky
Engine is a 2.5ltr US STi block, fully rebuilt by Xtreme Scoobies with forged pistons, conrods etc etc, running a TD05 20g turbo, full decat, STI8 I/C, lightened flywheel, bored heads, 6.5 litre sump, 650cc injectors, AP racing clutch and Green cotton panel filter. Will post some pics in a day or two.
The aim is to make is a bombproof trackcar that I can continue to drive to work in every day
Still running the new engine in, and having to keep below 4000rpm is painful - although there is still loads of power to be had in that range.
cheers

Dave, Hi mate. Very nice bugeye, not 100% sure about the rear lights or side skirts myself, but thats just personal taste
I have a WR blue bugeye too, AND..... im currently running my engine in as well, but sticking to only 3000 for the first 1000 miles Only 253 to go!!
Mines had a rebuild after I cracked a piston in cylinder 4, but i`ve also added a decatted up pipe to match my already decatted turbo back bits, STi8 i/c, Samco`s, STi clutch, Lightened flywheel, lightened crank and pulley, all matched to each other, and a vf28 turbo
Im needing injectors and a fuel pump upgrade before I get my Ecutec tweeked though.
Its nerve racking driving a car with a new/rebuilt engine, Im constanly checking the rev counter
Cliff

hehe thanks for all the comments guys - all appreciated
it's Leeds Castle by the way
and re. the lights - they grow on you, honestly. When I first saw them I hated them myself, but now I think they're one of the nicest looking bits on the car - honestly
I guess because they are still quite unusual (as compared with the Lexus-style ones)

In answer to your original Question
You can't like the look of the Bug-eye - you've not got any of the original car left .
Like others have said - not sure about the rear lights - but I suppose I could get used to them.
Give you £8k for her
ps willing to negotiate but not more than £8,250.

Stunning mate, superb! I really like the front heavy bumpers and side skirts, not sure the rear lights are to my taste......however strangely I can see them growing on me....

hey guys,
thanks for all your opinions - I must say I never thought those rear lights would prove so controversial !
I did have Lexus-style ones one at first but some muppet rear-ended me and that was the end of those. I was sick of them anyway so no worries there.
But I really liked these blue morette ones because you don't see many cars out there with them (yeah yeah 'because they're $hit', I hear you cry )
Brihoppy - re. the cost of the mods. TOO MUCH !!
Since the car has ended up looking that way anyway, in retrospect I should have just shelled out for a mint Skyline GTR-34 V-Spec to start with lol.
Having said that I do love the car now and won't be selling in the near future.
Styling mods (bodykit, BK238 18' wheels, morrettes front and rear) : ~ £1K
Handling mods (quick steering rack, droplinks, ARBs, strut brace, anti-lift kit, Eibachs, laser align, BIG AP 6-pot brakes): ~ £2.5 K
Engine mods (new 2.5 ltr conversion, big turbo, I/C, Samcos, full TSL decat system, SS uppipe, EcuTek, Crank Nitride, Defi triple guage, Knocklink with steering cowl conversion) : ~£14K yikes !!!!!
re. the engine mods though you have to remember I could have achieved the same power for much less money (about half I reckon) - but I wanted a bomb proof build that will last, so had the brand new 2.5 engine completely rebuilt with stronger components.
This car will now do 350/350 easy, and with the addition of an oil cooler will achieve 400bhp (the turbo is nowhere near capacity at the mo).
hope this helps
again, all , thanks for your comments, good and bad

Performance mods sound sweet. However, you can't polish a turd, and to my eyes it looks even worse than the already horrid bug eye.
