It is the plain view valet switch. It is used as part of the Clifford alarm to allow the valet code to be entered. This will override the key fob and can allow the setup of various features on the alarm - silent arm/ disarm, auto locking etc. On the models that include the Blackjax anti-hijack feature, it is also used to enable/ disable it. It is also used on the stand-alone Blackjax unit.
Do you have a Clifford Keyfob? If yes, then the switch is more than likely the valet switch.
Take the car along to a Clifford dealer - the switch is replaceable for next to nothing and will be needed should you lose the keyfob or the batteries run out. The dealer can also reset the valet code for you to something you can remember. They don't need to know the original code as the alarm box will be plugged into a laptop to be programmed.

Yea it's deffinatly a clifford valet switch, but as you haven't used it i would say the alarms been removed. I have one on mine but the alarm's not on anymore as they're ****e! All the gimmicks but reliability is a major problem with the cliffords.

That is a bodged Clifferd Alarm which i am sure goes off most of the time for no reason... The switch that looks like a dog has been eating it is a valet switch.

As for Clifford reliebility, I must be lucky! Always ran Cliffords and never had any problems. I am now running a CAT1 with remote engine start and stand-alone blackjax. Been fitted for the 2 years I've had the car and never a problem.
The problem comes when you get cowboys fitting alarms!

I can recommend a good installer in the North West called Stuart Barnard he would be able to solve all your issues.
E-mail him, he'll advise on any Clifford issues .

the broken bit is for entering the key code if you loose your keys and need to brake in yourself i think, if ya code was say 1234 you would press the top button once the bottom button, the the top button twice and then thge bottom one again...... you get the idea.
