Default My New Baby

Picked her up on Weds and have seemed to do nothing but drive since then. Only managed to clock up 400 miles in 2 days, and I'm knackered .

First impressions are great, comfy and powerful. Just a pain in the **** running in for 1000 miles. Had a few blasts but nothing major, been trying to keep under 4.5k rpm (not very good at that job though.)

Anyway here she is:

Cheers Guys, loving every second in it. Although the snow up here has been a nightmare today, I thought I was invincible, But alas no. my preconceived belief that snow would pose no problems with it been 4wd were dashed today when it span out at 5-10 mph . No Damage done though.

I do love the classic and actually think I prefered the ride (only driven a classic a few times), to me it was a little more raw. But I'm sure once this one has opened up, it will be as much fun

Dealer fitted replica spoiler, and they fitted the wheels and tyres which I supplied, they were off a my04/05 sti which were taken off a demonstrator with delivery mileage. Got them from an approved dealer down London, and they were cheaper than what 3 of the tyres would have cost.

Don't know where the spoiler was from, its a sti replica, quality and look is very good, it feels pretty light, so I suspect its probably fibreglass, only slight critisism is that the centre brake light is red instead of clear. But for £350 as apposed to £1000 for subaru part you take your chances.
One negative note, i'm having it replaced at the 1000 mile service, the paint finish is poor, and after some "gentle persuation" the dealer is getting another one painted to save me having to leave my car for 3 days to have it re-painted.

Deano.

H&S back box is going on tomorrow, if I can get into work, bl00dy snow !!!

Hey, jazzmag... nice ride, mate!

I love the look of the MY06's...

Hey, it looks slightly raised... is it? Or is it just me?

And yeah, you gotta watch out for that snow. I also spun out in the snow, thinking I was invincible... Snow is tricky stuff.

Thanks Evryone for the comments!!!

Evolution - My spoiler is a DR motorsport STi 8 replica, excellent quality, and finish.

Deano, looking good in blue mate, i avoided blue though as it is tghe most popluar colour, although I've only seen one other MY06 on the road and that was Black , driven what could only be described as a fox.

CE127 - yeah they do seem very high, but don't want to start messing with the ride hight really. They all come like that so there must be a good reason.

Summer tyres = little grip in snow/ice, end of story, 4WD or not.

Now if you had winter tyres you would have been amazed at the grip you would have had in such conditions.

Glad you got away with it

Hi
Of course the front looks like a Seat Ibiza - it has the same designer!!
A bit like the MG ZS rear spoiler - that was designed by Peter Stevens - who also designed Scooby bits for Prodrive!
Cheers!
