Myself and a good friend of mine (Thanks Steve!
) spent the entire day in his shop yesterday giving my WRX the full PorterCable experience along with about SIX coats of various products
I hope you like the finished results, photographs don't really do it justice as we couldn't take it outside...

Thats a stunning job, the paintwork looks great.. probably better than it did the day it rolled off the Production Line!! ![Thumb](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif)
Nice car too!!![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Can you put up a list of what he used to do it and also what type of equipment he used too... I'd like to explore the possibility of getting the same stuff to use on my cars.![Cool](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/cool.gif)
Cheers,
Grant

Hi can anyone help
The finish on my car wasn't exactly crystal when i picked it up (brand new) from the dealers and looked like whoever gave it it's pdi valet used a dusty polishing cloth.
Anyway it mattered not as it was a scooby and as soon as they brought it round the corner and handed me the key's i was drooling all over myself!!!!
Point is: i got myself a supaguard 100plus paint sealer pad and went over the whole paint work.
Whilst the paintwork looks lovely and nice glass finish you can still see the swirls under the paint seal and it's annoying me.
So would anyone be kind enough to recommend a cleaning agent that will cut through the paint seal and a product that will make my paintwork better?
Cheers in advance!!!

wrxstiuk...Hows this...
Washed with Snow Foam - Washes
Washed with FK1119 - Remove contaminats
Washed with Meguiar's Shampoo Plus - Washes
With a Eurrow wash mitt
Clayed with Sonus Green - Removes bonded contaminants
Polished with Menz Intensive Polish - Removes "Swirls" & small scratches
Using Lake County Orange pad
Polished with SSR2 - Polishes to a gloss
Using Sonus SFX white pad
Defects removed with Menz Power Compound - Removes larger more visible scratches
Using Lake County Yellow pad
Glazed with Meguiar's #7 Show Car Glaze - brings out a deep wet finish
Using Lake County Black pad
Sealed with Poorboys EX-P - locks on the glaze and enhances shine
Foam Applicators
Waxed with Poorboys Nattys Blue - makes it shine even more
Waxed with Pinnacle Souveran - makes it shine like I could have never imagined!
Using Meguiar's Last Touch detail spray - "Spit" shined the above to stop first layer of wax being removed
Glass - Meguiar's Glass Cleaner Concentrate
Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner
Wheels - Meguiars #21
Tyres - Megs Hyper Dressing
Green MicroFibres's were pakshak
Washing with plain old fairy liquid is a good starting point for removing old products but I too had left over diamond brite crap and some of the pre-pdi was in places! This called for tougher stuff, if you dont have many swirls in the paint etc then following a good wash I would say the SSR2 would be a good place to start, but ideally this is applied by a random orbit polisher (I have the PorterCable one).
