Just in case anyone is interested! Ive had many scoobs and faniced a change so I bought a standard one of these a year ago
It now has a few tweaks, HKS Hiper exhaust, Gruppe M carbon fibre intake, Mugen Hardtop and Mugen forged alloys.
This is the longest ive owned a car (1 year!) but now getting itchy feet again... I dont like the image of the classic scoob, but really miss it the low down torque and grip. S2000 is bloody great and equally as quick as a tweaked scoob but its going to cost me a lot to get it where I want it. im thinking ECO 6 or 8 maybe next![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Enjoy!

Last pic borrowed but same intake as mine!

Blimey, Im sure the last time I "spoke" to you, you were going to get rid at the end of the summer last year for another classic or an Evo?? Cant believe you've still got it.
Looks really different to the usual S2000 fare! Mint
(Cant believe you spent £1400 on an intake though!!

Jay that was the plan bit its bloddy addictive, and fits in with what I need at the moment. Everyone should try one ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Conrad, I looked extensively into turbo's bit to me it kind of defeats the point of the car, and doesnt fit with the engine character. There are some nice kits floating around though!
If I do go S/C again, it will be a simple 300bhp one like the Comptech without aftercooler and an AEM ecu![Cool](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/cool.gif)
Cheers Ray - buy one!

I've always been put off going down the Vtec route due to the lack of guts low down the rev range hence having to cane it everywhere (as if thats a bad thing
)
Im selling my Type R after this years 'Shootout, starting to get hacked off with the disapproving looks everywhere I go or pi55 taking boy racer remarks from the "grown-ups" LOL Plus, I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Golfs, had a MK1 gti, Mk2 Gti 16v & Mk3 VR6... so I think it would be rude not to try a MK4 R32 with the the AmD Stage 3 conversion (to begin with)... oh, in Pearl Blue obviously![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Supercharged s2000 sounds like it could be interesting though

Id say thats true of most VTEC's but the S is a LOT easier to drive hard. I came from a uned STi5 and wasnt tooo big a shock. If you race something, you'll be amazed what it will keep up with, you just miss the G force a bit ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
The ITR I has was quite frustrating, but this is bloody good! I am getting turbo itchy though!

Fancy a V5 Type R Ltd?
![Lol1](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/lol1.gif)
I do like the S2000 the most out of the Honda range but Im still not convinced its for me.
Hopefully, with the AmD conversion on the R32 (which takes it to about 280/275) it shouldnt be too painfull losing the kick of the turbo... plus.. Im sure sitting in those seats should help... they look amazing!!!
Surely, if you're missing the turbo, it would be easier to sell up and go for an Evo or another Scoob, but I know what you mean about the classic, hence partly why Im selling up and as for the newage Scoobs, I wasnt too impressed after test driving a JDM STi 8 compared to the classic...

PMSL @ the size of that intake... bet it makes a great noise along with the exhaust though!! ![Thumb](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif)
Out of interest, how much could you pick something like that up for??
Cheers,
Grant

Hello M8, itching to change into some 2 seater fun myself for the summer. But have spent a fortune on my classic lately which makes changing very hard. Currently running a 2.5 with 20g, and much more.
I would probably regret the loosing lack of punch and power, but the drop top would more than make up for it.
Whilst they were probably very expensive, not my taste in Alloys. Need to be bigger![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I have been very tempted on a few occassions for a VX220turbo. With AMD stage2.

Hi Rob ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
You do miss the punch but it does keep up with some big stuff. I stuck with a well tweaked R33 GTR til about 100 (had a chat with him after and he was 90% trying!) Im tweaking mine further with a unichip and some other bits aiming for about 270bhp![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
18's look **** on the car and dont handle too well![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I too like the VX220 - Clarkson seeme dto love it![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
PS an Elise S2 is totally nose to nose with mine til 100ish when they start to struggle, but the Elise obviously handles better. On the downside its not as comfy or reliable, and it leaks![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
