Talking 4 pots fitted at last :-)

Excellent improvement, especially as the discs on my 2 pots were knackered. Finally I can brake properly again.

After fitting:

After painting:

I'm quite happy with the way they are, all red. What do you guys think? Keep them as they are or paint the =subaru= in black, or white......

Yeah definitely in white!

Quick question for you though.....i'm running 4 pots as standard and tbh nearly stuffed it into a bush a few times as they're not up the job.
You running oem parts or aftermarket discs and pads? Love to know cos i have to do something to improve my brakes but cant stretch to £2000 for the 6 pots at the moment!

in response to bbdp, I think the discs are standard, but the pads are ferodo ds2500. I've heard that pagid blue pads are a really good upgrade from standard. I will be giving them a go next. Alternatively you can pay about £600 for a godspeed 335mm conversion which keeps the standard 4 pot caliper and usues bigger pads to suit.

I'm still not convinced on the lettering in white. Any more pics? I like the fact my car has no stickers/logos on it at all and this clean image might be spoilt if I have the subaru logo showing so obvisouly. Here is another pic from further away. I think they look great.

Notice you are running 205/40/17. The classics should be running on either 205/45/17 or 215/40/17 just so your speedo isn't missleading you.

Because i have 2 pots as standard on the back and no ABS anyway being a Ver.6 Type R. I've got Stoptech's on the front now and was asking to see if the std 4 pot fronts are a straight fit on the rear. I assume some kind of brackets will be needed....i also have different hubs from std i think...

You dont need any more than single pots on the rear as the back brakes dont do much work. You will upset the balance of the car if you put the 4 pots on even though you have the big stoptech's. Just look what the big boys run and you will see what i mean.

Nice clean motor you have there.
Cheers for the advice, im gonna go see the boys at Xtreme Scoobies and get the discs and pads upgraded so ill ask for the pagid blue's.

Definitely think you should go with the white lettering. I was pondering the same thing with mine but it looks miles better.

Hi Coulty, yeah they are much better. Still haven't really abused them yet though.

P1 NUT - I know about the tyres. They were a package deal and only came with that size. I have a gps speedo though so no worries.
