Hi.
Picked her up today at Iain Litchfields.
AST coilover suspension, Performance pack with Milltex exhaust.
Taking it easy for 1st 1000 miles.
Rather nice machine.
All the images seem to have gone, below. I don't know how to post them. Help please?

I'm too stupid to know how to post working pictures. Sorry about that.

Currently top of my wish-list, and the perfect spec too :loveluv:
With the pics, when in your PB gallery there are 3 boxes below each pic. Copy the text in the bottom one labelled "Img" and paste into your thread on here and it will show like....

Corradoboy,
Thank you for that useful tip. Now done that, or sort of done that & they seem to work.
Someone said I might get a bandwidth exceeded message but they seem ok at present.

Thanks.
Presently, only a running in map flashed into the ECU so I gather, but already it's impressive how the 2.5 engine pulls from just 2K revs without fuss.

Bit of a coincidence but I picked up my Forrester STI from Litchfields the following day! (3/6/06) Mine was the demonstrator one, also on the fifth gear MPEG. I'll try to get some pictures on the site tomorrow. The car is growing on me, it certainly draws a bit of attention, I wasn't sure whether at first I had made the right choice over a quick impreza, but I needed a little more space. If only Litchfield made an MY06 type 25 based on the 5dr impreza, that would have been perfect. Ah well, just have to get saving for the weekend accompanyment to the new daily runaround.

I'm seriously considering this Forester, it looks fantastic! I had a few days with a Manual 2.5xt and a day with an automatic xt - loved both but preferred the manual for the extra acceleration.
1. What happens with warranty - can you use an authorised Subaru dealer for servicing?
2. Also how's the MPG? - after a year with my Legacy Spec B Tourer at 20-23mpg.
3. Insurance - being an import is it likely to be higher than an STI imprezza?
Thx!

Roganjosh - all I can say regarding your questions is:
1) Cars bought at Litchfields come with an extendable warranty, they recommend seeing the car personally once a year (10,000miles), and any garage should be able to do the minor service oil/filter change (5,000miles)
2) Mpg - seems to around 20mpg so far (on A and B roads) - about as thirsty as my WRX PPP was
3) Insurance - Brilliant! much cheaper than my impreza, £600 fully comp with mods declared from A-plan thatcham.

Many thanks, it's a bit of a trek from NI over for every 10k miles, but not out of the realms. £600 for the insurance sounds reasonable - currently paying 800 for mine - again a NI situation. What group is it?
