Steady Hand For This One !
Tools for the job....
Re painted the hubs and the calipers first then decided to get the lettering sorted.... a job I've wanted to do for the last 12 months
No Beer last night
None of us locals are admitting it but we are all getting ready for the Welsh Motor Show
I'll be throwing my wheel cleaner away now for sure... I've put 2 coats of wheel sealant on over the weekend so the brake dust should now hopefully fall off
Before anyone asks the small length of ply under the wheel enables me to get the jack under the car

I think since it's our local one and a new event we are all trying to make just that little extra effort..... I'm hoping it will be a really good day if it goes as well as the web site suggests Looks as if we have a couple of mid wales 22B's joining us as well Si so we should have a really high quality stand and a fair mixture of the Subaru range to say the least
Back in work eh !!! great news matey

It's so much easier to paint the lettering with a small roller rather than a paint brush and will take seconds rather than hours The roller will only hit the raised parts of the calliper negating the need not to have any beer the night before

I know what you mean though Phil I had thought about it but wanted to try and ( thanks Danny ) get the edges as crisp as possible

Simon, your Calipers look great, did mine last week the exact same colour and design too. Even used the Folia tec stuff too, imo thats the best Caliper paint around, really tough stuff and the next morning any left over paint in the tin turns to rubber! lol. For the white text I used Radiator paint. Will post some picys of mine tomorrow.
Im guessing you have only done the front Calipers from your photo's, if you have done your back ones too and have painted over the Subaru text since its not embossed like the fronts. You can get replacement heat resistant vinyl stickers for the back ones. Finishs it off nice. They are on eBay, not sure if I can link to eBay auctions on here so just do a search for Subaru Caliper Decals.
Hope that helps.

Many thanks for that neglow
I only mixed small amounts of the caliper paint at a time around 8-10 small brush dips of each that way not to much goes to waste.
I originally painted them last year... two coats on each then just dropped another coat on this morning before doing the white, still plenty left in the tins as well. I may well get a set of those decals to finish the rears off as they are so visible through my alloys.

Looks great Simon. When I was going to do mine I was going to try and do it by painting a piece of wood white and pressing it against the lettering and seeing if that worked.
