Default My Impreza Wagon - My First Scoob

hey Guys,

Well here she is, my first Impreza.

1997 Subaru Impreza 2000 Turbo Wagon

Standard, apart from an Ebay Deluxe Induction Kit (Soon to be replaced with standard Airbox and an STI Panel Filter) Forge VTA DV. Stainless, Decatted center section.

Looking to change the wheels cos I would like some Gold jobbies instead of the Anthracite ones. Also working on a new exhaust System.

Seems she has had a hard life tbh, new MY99 engine fitted 9k miles ago. Has full service history along with loads of receipts etc. I fitted new front shocks yesterday. Power steering pump is buggered I think. Should keep me busy for a while.

Plans:

Crystal Light frontend
Better Shocks and Lowered Springs.
Gold 17-18" ProDrive rims
New Exhaust System
Sort the Airbox out
Maybe some Rally Style Flaps...

Anyways, what do you guys think.

I like it, not everybody likes wagons but I do

However, I think unless you are going to colour code handles/skirts I would stick with anthracite/black wheels - looks good as it is.

My shopping list would be:

crystal pack
exhaust
standard air box/uprated panel filter
STi rear lights

and then maybe:

Apexi power fc remap
Eibachs
Whiteline suspension kit - drop links, front/rear arbs.

Keep the wheels, they look far tougher than the gay Gold jobbies.

Looks great.
I like the wheels on it. Is the back one badly kerbed?
I have gay gold wheels on mine, came with the car, but would prefer anthracite any day of the week.

Errm yer it was on there, managed to grab it for my old Car (Honda HR-V) Normally would'nt go for an Ebay car but I am pleased with it and am looking forward to getting to grips with her. Got some sensible plans in mind. Just trying to sort my wheels out as I would really like to get some nice gold wheels instead of the Anth. one's. (I know some think they are gay but hell, its my first Scoob so I am allowed

Looking good

I got mine from Ebay too. Straight swap for a Saxo VTR, well happy with it although it drinks fuel like it's going out of fashion

Don't have many pics yet. I had to replace my crappy old induction kit for a standard air filter. It runs so much better now for it.
I have so much I want to do to it, but can't afford it atm I was looking at the clear side lights but with the tint (I would like the head lights in the tint too). Not sure whether to buy a back box 1st or a boost controller and then I got to buy the gauge and pod etc

BTW. I think that the gold wheels would look lovely against the blue

Thats a facelift front-end? So the 'N' is a private plate then? Guessing 98 as no body-colour mirrors. Either that or its had a complete front-end swap?

Anyway flat4online do a crystal pack for £110, but not in the tint:

It's not a private plate m8. It's had a change sometime before I got it. I think it looks much better tbh
That's a good price for the pack of crystal lights aswell!

I agree, facelift front end miles better. You even have the crystal headlights, must have cost someone a packet

Yes it is a good price for the crystal pack, I had the lot delivered for £90 for my MY00 when he was trading on ebay about 6 months ago - includes orange and silver bulbs that flash orange.

I had to change my bulbs to the silver ones, they looked like fried eggs. lol
The side indicators are clear and they had white bulbs in them Soon changed them when I noticed.

I would like to try and spray the inside of my lights (black) so they look tinted, but I don't trust myself lol
