Its made of a kind of flexible rubber in order to be heated and formed to the profile of the rear wing, so yeah a carbon one would be nice if someone could make it to the exact profile of the wing.
It attatches using a pair 3M adhesive strips, its VERY VERY well attatched.

you're idea of a dirty car though is one that has a layer of dust on it

Yeah dude, pretty much off the road. Its still driveable but the interior is a sorry looking affair. Hopefully start going back together in a few weeks
