WYIOC Santa Cruise
Quite a few of our members put together a Santa cruise recently.

We held an internal raffle of sorts! to help get some donations in from all our members, as well as selling some christmas pigs, all the money going towards gifts for the agreed childrens hospice.
After a few problems getting started with two cars breaking down before we'd set off and getting every one together at the right place, we finally set off... It was quite a sight to see the Reindeer named convoy heading out.. the points, stares and smiling faces I saw on the way out through a local town and up to the Hospice made all the earlier issues fade away..
I also explained that it wasn't quite as expected when we arrived as a lot of the kids were quite poorly and so we couldn't go and give them their pressies.. Those that could come out couldn't stay long. We also had some issues where the people we'd bought for weren't there, so had to re-jig the pressies for those who were..
But the carers were stars and were most grateful to the small donations we'd made and said that a lot of the kids would be over the moon, with some pressies and all the selection boxes going to new kids coming in for some respite over the coming weeks leading up to Xmas.
One of the kids who was well enough to walk about was little Ryan. He was full of questions and JB & Bri gave him a sit in their cars and revved the engines a touch to cheer the little guy up....
All in all I think it was a successful trip with many kids lives going to be made that little bit happier from the generosity of time and money from us... So, well done to everybody who contributed their time and money to make a small difference to some really disadvantaged kids.
heres just a few pics from the day.
