Default My 2nd Celica GT4

After buying the car, I was desperate to change the wheels that were on there. They were 17" OZ F1 Cups, with what looks like a poor silver refurb a long time ago as they were rough, bubbled etc...

So, cause I wasnt going buy 2nd best, I went for some 18" Compomotives from Reyland Motorsport... and ordered some Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres to wrap them in.

Here are a few pics:

The black wheels are love or hate, so I'm not expecting totally positive feedback... I was going for the subtle look and think I've done that.

Cheers,
Grant

Sweeeeeet....! Never seen one that colour before. However could do with some Gt-Four blocks and raise the spoiler IMO -

I appreciate the comments guys... thanks

Si, had this one for a month or so, gonna try to keep it for a while!! But then, I said that about my white MY99 too... Haha!!

I cant put the Raiser Blocks on the spoiler, because this is the facelifted model, its got the 3-post rear spoiler instead of the 2-post of the early models so it would be a pretty large job to change all that over.. and I quite like the low level look, at the moment.

Cheers,
Grant

Nice. I'm thinking about black rims on a boxster - I hadn't considered these.

Standard BHP ranges from about 237bhp to 250bhp as standard... but usually find that a well cared for, low mileage example will make 260-270bhp.

There is a boost limit in 1st gear (0.6bar), which kind of kills the launch to 60mph, but once at full boost (0.9bar) in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th the car pulls really well..

Its a lot quicker than a New-Age WRX and my car, standard apart from a RamAir panel filter, kept right up with my friends MY96 WRX Import running c280bhp. The GT4 feels really smooth, its got a Twin-Entry Turbo system that is kind of similar to the Twin-Scroll Turbos seen in some of the New Age Imprezas.

With only a de-cat, full exhaust, air filter and boost upgrade to 1.1-1.15bar you will see 300bhp easily and again, well cared for examples can make up to 315-320bhp with the same mods fitted.

Cheers,
Grant

Looking good mate.

I really like the GT-Four,
I used to have a black GT-Four RC but I succumbed to the sound of the flat four beat.
