Quality & I bet you've spent as much as me on yours then LOL Endless money pit of modding Great fun but I just reached that point where I couldn't go any further without spending serious money....that & I wanted some serious creature comforts with that fun factor if needed

I did get it for a very good price & then knocked the garage down another grand LOL Still not cheap mind but when compared with a blobeye STI on price I new I made the right choice

I know how you feel. I was considering keeping mine as a track car but in bits it's worth a big chunk of the price of the new beemer. Plus the beemer would be great sideways fun on the track

What a great choice. I had the pleasure of driving one for two days and damn was that fun. The roar is like music to your ears, you get high performance yet you still get the luxury of a prestige car. Great value for money,

Why thankyou. I was a little wary at first about putting my new car on SN but it seems my worries were unjustified. Everyone sees this car for what it is & agrees with me that it's pure class

Cheers guys

Another scooby owner to see the light (joke) sold my STi 4 in August bought it in Dec 01,like you wanted some more comfort and refinement but still quick enough to have some fun, picked my M3 up in early Sept.

Looked at the M5 but with just myself and the missus really didn't need 4 doors or a 5 ltr V8.

Have fun and in this weather leave the DSC button alone

Blimey that's gotta be some sort of record!! Hey maybe someone should pose the question to see whose owned their scoob the longest

Just out of interest what tyres are fitted on the rear?

If there Continental sportcontact's be careful even with the DSC on i had 3rd gear wheel spin yesterday on half throttle, they seemed OK in the dry but now the weather has got worse I've found them to be ****..

I can't remember to be honest but I know they were new. My mate has an M3 and he says that his is a bit skittish in the wet. I think he has Falken FK452's as he didn't like the continentals but he still finds he looses traction a lot. I was in his car at Bedford the other week & it was chucking it down. Didn't seem to bad IMHO.

I'm hoping that the extra weight of the M5 will make a difference with the traction

I just remembered. They're the Kumho Ecsta MX KU15's.

I've read the reviews on Mytyres & they look pretty good in the dry but not so good in the wet.

I would never have bought these tyres myself as I know nothing about them but they're new & i'll give them a go. If they're rubbish i'll change them

Huxley - Blimey that was ages ago I'm two houses and a 5 month old along from that LOL

I might miss the scoob as i've had it since I was 25 so it's been a big part of my life through many highs & lows but i'm hoping that now is the right time to move on so it won't be too painful

I really do think i'm gonna thoroughly enjoy the M5 though Fingers crossed
