Nice Sam.
Saw a red one in George Square, Glasgow yesterday. Looks much better in the flesh than pictures. Quite big, though.
Only one thing, Gotta ditch the wheels for something big spoked and chunky. They look a bit weedy and cheap as they are quite "flat" if you know what I mean.
Black is but furkin mad in Scotland LOL......

cheers guys
i know black looks really but it is a nightmare trying to keep clean . say that i did not want to get another silver car.
it is quite a big car outside and inside compared to my MY99, although i can't do more that 4k revs until it is run in the acceleration on part throttle even is very impressive. it will pull in 5th gear around town form 1500revs !!!!!
as for the wheels i will probably get some 18" at somepoint and keep these for track days

You don't know until you've seen one for real. Pics to not do them justice..
When RichR was following me to the 'ring last September his had HUGE road presence. kinda like Darth Vader coming at you in the rear view mirror..
Oh and they sprint waaay quicker than a 22B the way that it caught me on the belgian freeways was amazing....

although i do like the way it looks it was never bought for its looks. it will be very funny if you buy an EVO or a scoob for their looks.
jerry i have not driven it in anger yet, as i still need to finish of the first 1000mile thing. i can't go over 4000revs saying that going around round abouts is a totally different experience .
it should be good once it is run in judging by richard's remarks

28k for the rack !!!! that is a lot cheaper than i got it for
thanks Kosy
i have seen a silver, red and black side by side, black looked by far the meanest and nicest of them all IMHO
its also was not easy to get a black one as they wanted to keep them for the Extreme version

Sam,
It's a lovely motor mate but at the risk of offending you deeply, I'm not keen on the colour. The Evo's an 'in your face' car and the black subdues it to the point where it looks (forgive me..)
like a Toyota Avensis!!
Evo's look great in Silver. (yeah I know they're common, but it's cos it's the best colour, like Scoobs look best in Blue, Ferraris in Red, Porsches in Silver......it's the natural law!!)
Anyway, massively jealous m8, an Evo's still an Evo even if it is black...I'm sure I'd suck on your exhaust gases big time if ever we met up on the road!!!

Hi Sam,
Congratulations on your new car m8. Bloody awesome!!! Great choice. I love the 7s. I think they look nicer than the earlier ones. But you're right, looks aren't the reason we buy these cars. But it can help and I think the 7 has the looks.
I look forward to a full performance report by you, after you run it in.
Enjoy the car and happy and safe motoring with it!!!
Cheers,
Wrexy.
PS Are you going to mod it?

hi wrexy
cheers mate, "are you going to mode it?" now what do you think i won't even answer
i totally agree with you i really like the looks of the 7 a lot more than the previous one. every one how has seen it in the flesh thinks it is a much better car than my previous one. but i suppose they will have to say that considering that i got it now
the car has got a huge potential
i will put a full a report once it is fully run in and it has seen some track days but i can tell you now that handling is not even in the same league. no understeer at all so far just loads of power sliding , maybe i will get some little understeer on track.
