A few cars in the car park of the hotel we were staying in.

Had a pint at our hotel then me and Lisa took a taxi ride along the road, and you'll never guess who we ended up drinking with.

That was Barry with the hood - we wondered if we should be doing anything - lots of people were making adjustments - spanners jungling - changing maps, wheels and exhausts etc. We topped up the washer bottle at the petrol station and couldnt think of anything else to tinker with!

That was your car? Wow that thing shifted. The couple of times we raced it seemed like you would be steady at the end of a gear (like not pulling away) then you'd change and shoot off ahead, then look steady at the distance you'd drawn away, then change again and shoot off! But you could really see when you a gear ran out of "puff" (scuse expression) then when you changed.
Anihilated me

Hi Puff,
Yes gearing too short - 4.444 diffs - my first time draging - so hitting rev limiter in every gear - should of changed up earlier - also my launches were useless - 2 seconds 60ft - I was hopping to come in the top 20 as I knew the car was fast but had no experience - came 6th and joint 3rd fastest terminal so pleased with that - I also has no syncro on 3rd before the event so ramed it home each time (not sure how much time this cost) - after 6th run - selector fork gave way - i was getting faster - oh well i guess thats drag racing. At least I know how the start lights work now! Also next time wont run with 1/4 tank of fuel - spare wheel in place, jack in place, rear seats in place etc - i was so worried about skidding off on a damp track that i decided to leave it all in place. I really enjoyed it though - whens the next meeting?

Hi Micky,
Yes he was wearing it most of the time (in the pic its under his hood.) - we stayed in Park Inn hotel in york city on saturday night - and barry wore his deer stalker - got a few looks.
He wasnt in the best of moods - genuis is always flawed - in fact he said if RCM comes over for a chat he would blank them - made me feel a bit uneasy to be honest. But thank fully there was no clash of egos on the day.
Sleeper
PS I have new gearbox and a few demon updates for the next run. Are you going to TOTB

If I'd realised I would have spoke earlier, thought it was just 2 ramdom people standing next to your car.
Your car went well, congrats, times to be proud of.
